This week the theme proposed by our friend @stefy.music is "Abba - Father". Commonly, most of the time when we talk about Him or with Him the word that comes to our lips is "Lord." Sometimes we call him "Father", but less often.

It is my understanding that "Abba" is "Dad" in Aramaic, the language our Lord Jesus Christ spoke. So that was the word that He used to speak of and with the Father, and with which He began the model of prayer given to the apostles: the Lord's Prayer.

Recognizing God as Father leads us to assume a commitment, a strong and experiential commitment, practical, not theoretical. Why? Because if I recognize that He is my Father and He is your Father, I have to assume that you and I are brothers and that I must act accordingly.

Hola, comunidad, una nueva semana para ofrecer a Dios nuestr adoración y alabanza en este espacio creado por nuestra amiga @stefy.music para ofrendar a Dios el talento que Él mismo nos ha dado para la música, una de sus mas bellas creaciones.


Esta semana el tema propuesto por nuestra amiga @stefy.music es "Abba - Padre". Comúnmente, la mayoría de las veces en que hablamos de Él o con Él, la palabra que acude a nuestros labios es "Señor". A veces le decimos "Padre", pero con menos frecuencia.

Tengo entendido que "Abba" es "Papá" en arameo, el idioma que hablaba nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Entonces esa fue la palabra que Él usó para hablar de y con el Padre, y con la que inició el modelo de oración entregado a los apóstoles: el Padrenuestro.

Reconocer a Dios como Padre nos lleva a asumir un compromiso, un compromiso fuerte y vivencial, práctico, no teórico. ¿Por qué? Porque si yo reconozco que Él es mi Padre y es tu Padre tengo qué asumir que tú y yo somos hermanos y que debo obrar en consecuencia.

¿Por qué? Porque no soy hijo único... bueno... de mi mamá sí, pero de Papá Dios no. Por eso es que en la Cruz hay un madero vertical que apunta hacia Dios y uno horizontal, a brazos abiertos, que simboliza esa actitud fraterna que debemos internalizar y hacer vida hacia nuestros hermanos.
