My first TTT - Golden 90s HipHop - Nas, GangStarr & Wu-Tang
Greetings Hivians & Music Lovers!
It's been a while since I have been to Hive. The last one and a 1/2 years I was not too active, but since a couple of weeks I am checking Hive again and one of the first cool new things I saw was #ttt or #threetunetuesday... and I like it! Shoutout @ablaze!
I wanna represent some golden 90s Hip-Hop for my first TTT.
It was this morning when I went to the bathroom and I hit the shuffle mode of my mp3-player,
thinking about how much music changed and what real Hip-Hop should sound like.
Triggered from my vibes, the shuffle selection choose from my playlist...
- Nas - Nas Is Like
- GangStarr - Mass Appeal
- Wu-Tang Clan - Can It Be All So Simple
...as the first three tunes.
First triple T selection from Luca One Triple Seven. 😊
1. Nas - Nas Is Like
Produced by DJ Premier from Nas' 1998/1999 Album "I am". This is how Hip-Hop should sound like!
2. Gang Starr - Mass Appeal
Also produced by DJ Premier, who is actually one half of GangStarr together with the rapper G.U.R.U. (R.I.P.!) from the 1993 album "Hard to earn". I got this album on vinyl.😊 My favorite GangStarr album. Classic!🎤
3. Wu-Tang Clan - Can It Be All So Simple
Another classic (also in my vinyl selection) from Wu-Tangs first album:
"Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" , remembering the "days of old".
