Discovering Exhibitions of The Grade 9 Museum of Arts and Music
Good day Hivers! It's been a while since I've posted my last blog! Have you missed me? I'm sorry for not posting for a while I've been very busy these days.
But today just to update you on my life, I will be sharing our Arts Month day, where we will be celebrating along with our MAPEH subject. It was a very memorable day so I was thinking of sharing this experience with you guys through blogging.
Arts Month is the time were we are going to celebrate the birth of our most famous painters, artists, and composers, especially in our country, which is the Philippines. This is the most awaited time that I've been waiting for among all the events that we have celebrated.
When the morning event came and I first saw the canteen decorated along with those techno club officers including me, I was fascinated by how it resulted since I hadn't seen the final look of our booth since I left early when the decorating of the canteen was done.
It was filled with hanging paper hearts that we make, attached from the above structure of the canteen. Since we are techno-club officers we are assigned to organize the sweet corners booth where we will be selling sweets for all students.
The money that we income from selling sweets such as donuts, and cookies, and drinks like juices, we use it as a fund for the future events that we will be organizing.
Since our classroom is very big and it is wide it is good to alternate this area for the photo booth. As you can see in the photo some clubs that are assigned to the making of this, decorate it with many red backdrops and used many foils in creating hanging ornamental decorations. They also prepare cameras for the photo booth and one picture or one snap costs five pesos which is less than a dollar in the U.S.
In the afternoon since we have no class during that day we get to wander and stroll around the different museums that the grade nine students recreated. So the first section that we explored around was the grade nine BCF classroom.
There exhibit art was very beautiful, it was almost amazing just like the original art was painted. There are many arts that we take photos with. Compared to the different ancient instruments, I prefer to explore the different paintings.
The first photo that we took from the grade 9 BCF Museum was the painting “Liberty Leading The People” Their creation was only something that we can compare and emphasize with the actual original artwork. I wonder who paints this and that grade and then students are very creative and have a lot of talents in terms of painting or drawing to add that I am jealous of them.
In this painting, you can see that a person is standing behind and enjoying the view above the sea of frogs. You can see that the person was wondering and standing under a block of rock posing and holding a sword. I was fascinated by how they dedicated and put or exerted a lot of effort into making their recreational paintings.
In this artwork, it looks like a person arresting in a block of stone and that's why it is also called the “Afternoon Rest”. This was a remake by Guillaume Seignac which was inspired by the Hellenistic culture.
Basically from my perspective, the girl was alluring the painter which he was also baiting and besides that, I would like the praise the grade 9 students for recreating the artwork amazingly. I can say that they are talented.
These are also some other paintings that I've captured while exploring their museum:
The Kiss
The Raft of the Medusa
After that, we wandered a little bit of the area after heading to the other sections museum. As you can see there are a lot of students from other grade levels who also got to see the museums here. It is nice to take the time to appreciate the grade 9 students' artwork as a grade 10 student
Before going to the other side of the museum, I bumped in with these eye-catching mini ornaments and artworks that they placed at the center.
There you can see a chess made from recycled materials such as paper and thick cartolinas from reused boxes in making the chess board.
Aside from the chess, there is also an ancient brush, a shotgun, and a gray castle which is called The Burg Lichtenstein derived from Germany during the Medieval Era.
Then we got outside from their museum and headed off to the next classroom but before that, I captured the outside of the building and there you can see our flag since it is near the middle part of the compost located at the covered court area. I just had not of it since I felt like the view and the lightning of the sun were perfect at that time.
La Centure Museum of SJGP
This was the museum of grade 9 SJGP.
As you can see, the color theme was in the shade of brown and it feels like a vintage vibe which suits the area.
This wood-carved sculpture was inspired by the tradition of Filipino farmers who use the carabao or water buffalo through custom riding to help in cultivating the soil for their crops.
River of Insecurities
This painting represents the insecurities and anxieties contained among people in our society, according to them. I was struck by the artwork since this is my favorite recreation painting among the others because I also felt the same way some people had with the insecurities within us.
I had a certain connection towards the painting since I also feel insecure and always put myself down, covering and hiding all flow I never and will always don't want to have within me, that's why I feel like having an interconnectedness with a painting.
These are the other artworks that I also captured:
Artistry Sanctuary Musica de Museo
Here in this museum, there are more instruments than paintings.
According to a student here, the instruments are inspired and derived from India and Israel. This was the museum of the grade 9 big student. The front wall of their museum was beautiful. I can say that they decorated it so well! Praise to them!
These are the instruments that I have taken:
During the event, there was also a live band singing. I enjoyed watching the program especially this.
I was amazed by how the singers are so talented with their voices that are on point since it had me relaxed.
Overall the event was fun even though there are a lot of stressful moments in the school to still amazing with these memorable programs they have something to offer for us students. For a while, we can relax and have fun for a moment and I'm thankful for that!
