... Uniti ed è partita proprio in quella settimana, insieme a Stefano. Il fratello di Stefano, in arte Giubbottone, le ha trovato il giusto contatto.
Proprio nella settimana in cui Adriana si prepara a volare, Elena, dall’altra parte del mondo, sta mostrando alla televisione come si fa la pizza. Elena, magari in questo momento, sta preparando la pizza davanti a qualche milione di americani. Mi sento fiero e felice. Non vi sembra magico? Elena è dietro agli schermi televisivi negli Stati Uniti, esattamente dove la junkfood è la norma. Una goccia nell’oceano, sta cercando di rassicurarli. Con il suo esempio sta dicendo: “Ragazzi, lo sapete che in questo mondo è possibile anche mangiar bene? Senza spendere tanto!” Li sta incoraggiando come un’ambasciatrice di pace.
Li sta incoraggiando come loro incoraggiarono me a uscire dalla prigione esistenziale che mi ero creato due anni mezzo prima.
Cerchiamo di capirci meglio.
Tendenzialmente nessuno cucina bene per se stesso e si mangia meglio in compagnia. Se sei solo vai al fastfood, visto che in USA i ristoranti sono molto cari oppure ti prepari del readyfood o easyfood.
Se nessuno ti ha mai insegnato a fare da mangiare, mangerai sempre roba preparata da altri.
Elena, in questo momento, sta proponendo il suo easyslowfood. Il padre di Stefano, cuoco, disse tanto tempo fa: “A far le cose male o bene, ci vuol lo stesso tempo”. L’easyslowfood è uno slowfood che ha lo stesso tempo di preparazione di un fastfood, con il vantaggio di essere buono e semplice. Elena con la pizza sta raccontando proprio questo: “Ragazzi, fare una buona pizza è facile, rapido e costa meno”.
Gli sta ricordando che il buono non sempre è amico del complicato, il buono è amico del semplice.
Una buona novella magari accolta come uno scherzo, prendendosi anche un po’ gioco di lei, che offre un messaggio chiaro. La televisione trasforma un po’ quel messaggio e in pochi riusciranno ad accoglierlo, ma quei pochi sapranno che è possibile mangiar bene anche negli Stati Uniti, senza spendere troppo.
Chiara, una dei membri dell’esperimento, mi ha raccontato di come anche in Nuova Zelanda sia raro avere una tavola da pranzo in cucina.
