How many times have we made others suffer?
How many things make people suffer?
All potentially!
If we think about it, stop for a moment and listen to our suffering, it is there to help us find the path to happiness.
How many times have we negotiated suffering or happiness within ourselves?
Have we said to ourselves, I don't deserve this joy?
This compliment is too much!
How many 'graces' that others have offered us have we refused?
How many times have we accepted that we are guilty?
How many times do we feel we deserve happiness?
Being happy is selflessness and responsibility towards the world. External events only awaken the fears, anger and ignorance that are already inside us, and suffering is the telltale signpost for when to take a qualitative leap in our perception of the world and to transform them into happiness and serenity.
The measure of our growth is not directly proportional to the amount of suffering we experience but to the amount of suffering we transform. The closeness of nature helps this transformation and helped Andrea.
In a natural setting such as the countryside, meditation is something intrinsic, the journey within joins with the external landscape. We and the environment become one. In those ten years, his view of the world has changed and he has grown as a human being, in his sensitivity and wisdom, while maintaining his curiosity for life and enthusiasm for the world.

The Experiment (Wonder)

After ten years of country life, Andrea decides to return to the city, leaving behind his house, his accessories and all his hidden secrets:
the wild asparagus, the cherry trees, the flowers, the best restaurants in the area, the pear trees, the paths, the television, the meadow mushrooms, some furniture, his
his blessing and a cat.

Quante volte abbiamo fatto soffrire gli altri?
Quante sono le cose che fanno soffrire?
Tutte potenzialmente!
Se ci pensiamo bene, ci fermiamo un attimo ad ascoltare le nostre sofferenze esse sono là per farci trovare il cammino verso la felicità.
Quante volte abbiamo negoziato dentro di noi sofferenza o felicità?
Ci siamo detti questa gioia non me la merito?
Questo complimento è troppo!
Quanti “grazie” che gli altri ci hanno offerto abbiamo rifiutato?
Quante volte abbiamo accettato di essere colpevoli?
Quante volte ci sentiamo di meritare la felicità?
Essere felice è altruismo e responsabilità verso il mondo. I fatti esterni non fanno altro che risvegliare le paure, la rabbia e l’ignoranza che sono già dentro di noi e la sofferenza è la spia per capire quando compiere un salto di qualità nella nostra percezione del mondo e per trasformarle in felicità e serenità.
La misura della nostra crescita non è direttamente proporzionale alla quantità di sofferenza che proviamo ma a quella che trasformiamo. La vicinanza della natura aiuta questa trasformazione e aiutarono Andrea.
In un quadro naturale come quello della campagna la meditazione è qualcosa d’intrinseco, il viaggiarsi dentro si congiunge al paesaggio esterno. Noi e l’ambiente diventiamo la stessa cosa. In quei dieci anni la sua visione del mondo è cambiata è cresciuto proprio come essere umano, nella sua sensibilità e saggezza, mantenendo inalterate curiosità per la vita e l’entusiasmo per il mondo.

L’esperimento (Wonder)

Dopo questi dieci anni di vita di campagna, Andrea decide di ritornare in città, lasciandoci la casa, gli accessori e tutti i segreti nascosti:
le asparagine selvatiche, i ciliegi, i fiori, i ristoranti più buoni della zona, i peri, i sentieri, la televisione, i funghi prataioli, un po’ d’arredamento, la
sua benedizione e una gatta.

Here I think a song that fits to accompany this page of the book is really watchdog. A thought, a dogma, a belief can make you feel trapped, and to make you feel trapped you need fear and/or guilt. In other words, you have to somehow acquiesce to the contract of suffering, to which you can calmly say no. However, everything is ultimately impermanent and entropy always increases inexorably, yet you can temporarily accept fear and/or guilt and be manipulated in your actions. Considering the need to have a guard dog to tell us what to do or what not to do is a symptom.
