I’M FREE TO BE THE GREATEST ALIVE

There are a lot of problems and struggles that come with life, life is not so fair. There are many people going through a lot, some don’t even know how to face it, and some are trying to face it but it is not quite easy. Sometimes we need extra motivation just to push us a little, to make us see that the light at end of the tunnel is not yet dim.

It was anotherday, things were the same - or getting hard but I was sure it was not getting any good. It was hard to hear a peal of laughter or even the lowest chuckle, no matter how hard I tried to listen all I could hear was my heart pounding, wondering when it was going to get better.

I have been through these before and I told myself I didn’t want it, I picked up my earbuds because I couldn’t get the worries and around me to get hold of me. I quickly forced the earbuds into my ears, and let the melody flow in.

Lately, I have been listening to R and B and some pop rather than rap or hip hop which is my regular genre, but these days I haven’t been willing to move to rhythm, what I need is a song that reflects on my life and everything in between. Let's just say, I now listen to lyrics rather than just the music.

I have a lot on my mind, a lot of goals that I am working on, and a lot of dreams to come through but it feels like I don’t have the opportunity to achieve them or maybe the dreams are too big or too wild. Everyone around me laughs when I tell them “It is just a matter of time” ‘They say “How long is it going to be a matter of time?”’

I have been listening to Alesia Cara and Sia both old and new songs. These days, I just closed my eyes and let myself feel every moment of the music, I didn’t want to let any negativity in.

My earbuds played one of Sia’s songs Greatest, I love this song, everything about it, This song never gets old to me. Greatest Song by Sia is an electropop song that was released on 6 September 2016 under the album, This is Acting. Many have different ways to relate to this song, the song was originally recorded because of an incident.

For me, it was a song I'd play whenever I felt like giving up, whenever I was almost swallowed by those negative thoughts that weighed me down, I'd just sing out loud.

Before this, I have always thought people with opportunities, rich and famous are those who are destined to be great, funny right? But Sia told me that

One of my pastor always say that “Overtaking is allowed”, anytime I sing this song, I know fully well that I am free to become the greatest woman alive and I will surely not give up.

Regardless of what might be bringing me down, or whatever people are saying right now, or every gossip, I know that irrespective of the scars I might have or I may have, it will all work together for my good, just like what the Bible says - all things shall work together for my good

Everyone needs to know that there is no limit to what they can do, the only limit is themselves and their thoughts and perspective. Changing your perspective is the beginning of your greatness, when you have the mind of greatness, even your obstacles will look like another teaching that you can learn from.

Life can be hard, but giving up, is not even an option here, it is either you Don’t give up or you survive, so why give up when the greatest is waiting for you? why do you let their daily discouragement bring you down? , when they are not willing to let you become the greatness because all they carry is negativity.

Shut it all, put on some music, smile, get up, and don’t give up.
