HAUSER doing Latin Pop, Nuevo Tango, and Classical

(Edited)

When visiting my son last year I was super spoilt when he took me to see HAUSER - Rebel with a Cello at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, just three days before my return across the waters, back home, and fortunately, there were still seats available. It was nowhere near the front, but we were there, and it was awesome!

We took a train to Duivendrecht, then walked about 20 minutes in pouring rain to the Ziggo Dome, and arrived with our shoes squish-squashing. That did not dampen my excitement one little bit.

I have since converted many friends, young and old, to become HAUSER fans; my son needed no persuasion, he heard the cello player first-hand!

I'm going to share three songs from different genres - Despacito - Latin pop and Reggaeton; Caruso - Classical and Opera, and the last song Libertango - Nuevo Tango, performed by HAUSER, and I will also share the original artists' videos.

Despacito

The sexy, catchy Spanish song Despacito by Luis Fonsi, ft. Daddy Yankee topped the charts in nearly 50 countries in 2017, representing different genres; Reggaeton, and Latin pop.
It held the number one spot in 2017 as the most-viewed YouTube Video, and seven years later in 2024, it holds the Number two spot.

Caruso

Caruso was written by Italian singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla in 1986. It is dedicated to Enrico Caruso, an Italian tenor. The song peaked at number two in the Italian singles chart for two consecutive weeks, following Dalla's death.
I'm sharing the beautiful opening lyrics (translated)

Here, where the sea shines
and the wind howls,
on the old terrace
beside the gulf of Sorrento,
a man embraces a girl
after the tears,
then clears his throat
and continues the song:
I love you very much
very, very much, you know;
it is a chain by now
that heats the blood inside the veins,
you know...

Libertango

Libertango is a 1974 composition by the Argentine tango composer, and bandoneon player, Astor Piazzolla. The title symbolizes the composer's revolutionary break from classical tango to nuevo (new) tango, bringing jazz and classical elements into his music.

Pssst. If you enjoyed HAUSER, and would like to see the full concert, (without blurred background as in the first two videos) here is the link to HAUSER - Rebel with a Cello - (Live in Budapest)

This has been my contribution to Three Tunes Tuesday, initiated by ablaze, I hope you enjoyed it.

That's wonderful @konquest, you should work on doing a Vibes entry!
Hauser is doing so many concerts, all over, I feel he works way too hard, but is amazing. I often listen to his music, he's a talented musician and great entertainer!
