Be Kind - You Never Know What Others are Going Through

Living life in the fast lane is not easy for many. As time goes by, it seems as if the world is spinning faster and everyone is desperately rushing around. Is it just that we are trying to squeeze more into their days?
I see people who are desperately lonely watching the world go by. It doesn't take much to brighten their day: a smile, a greeting, listening to what the person is saying, or offering help with a heavy parcel. Take a little time to pop in to take a homemade meal or cookies to a lonely neighbour, and have a short chat.
Just a little kindness is all that is needed!

Onto music.
Music truly is food for the soul, and today is the time to share a little music for Three Tunes Tuesday. @ablaze is the man who started this initiative and kept it going for 242 weeks, quite a feat! He's sharing Red Hot Chilli Peppers Californication for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 242 - win some HBI, listen to his choice of music, and read about the initiative:
For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.
I'm sharing some of the music my sons introduced to us.
The music of Coldplay used to echo through the house when my sons were both studying at college after high school. Hubby and I also enjoyed their music, but it was sometimes a little too loud, especially on a weeknight when they both were supposed to be studying!
Nirvana was another favourite of my older son. Tragically, Kurt Cobain committed suicide at the age of twenty-seven. Struggling with bipolar disorder, addiction, and pain. He opted not to have treatment, as many others refused to do back in the nineties. The band members went their separate ways after Cobain's death.
Love Me Through The Storm, Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga
I promise to love and cherish you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others, keep myself only unto you, for so long as we both shall live.
Bonus Song - a little more Coldplay: Fix You
A song about love, loss, and healing, written by Chris Martin for his wife, at that time Gwyneth Paltrow, after the death of her father.
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
A repeat of Fix You, but this is a 2021 live performance with Ed Sheeran, a fan of Coldplay from a young age.
Back to kindness; just a little bit goes a long way to give someone hope again, knowing that there is somebody who cares. We tend to turn a blind eye, but we really need to look a little deeper. Some people will rebuff, but we should not allow that to put us off reaching out to others.
Kindness builds bridges and connects people from different backgrounds!

You are the sweetest, kindest person @lizelle ! This is sage advice indeed. You can really watch people light up with a kind word.
Did you know I saw Nirvana live?
Oh wow, that must have been great. It's so sad that Kurt Cobain refused treatment and that his life ended to tragically. So talented!
I've been guilty of judging some people, especially in my new environment, but when I look deeper, I see a different picture and they indeed light up when you chat a little.
I think it's okay to judge, recognize, and then move on. Our minds DI discriminate as a protective mechanism so we can't blame ourselves for that. As long as we don't turn that into speech and action against the other!
Yeah we saw them just after Bleach and as they released Nevermind. They were virtually unknown and a small venue - good fun. I was of course in early 20s so there were a lot of shenanigans going on I won't speak of here but it's pretty cool I was one of the rare people to see him live. I also saw Jeff Buckley before his demise. I was beginning to think I was jinxed haha.
Absolutely River <3
I can imagine! I wasn't familiar with Jeff Buckley. How sad that he drowned, so young, too!
His album 'Grace' is incredible, but I do think you'll love his version of Hallelujah.

Thank you for the support @stresskiller and @ecency!
You're always a joy to read - such a light, kind person <3 I'm sure interacting with you does bring many a smile, and brighten people's day, my friend.
Thank you, sweet @honeydue, it always brightens my day bumping into you, young lady💛
Wonderful words @lizelle! I remember when Nirvana and other grunge types hit the big time and it seemed to kill the big hair bands of the 80's. Cobain was gifted, it is said mnay gifted artists are so troubled.
It is so true, I've known quite a few gifted people in my lifetime who are deeply troubled and all fighting their own demons. Sadly, some did not make it, just like Cobain! Glad you enjoyed the post @coinjoe <3
Kindness pays off. You never know what people are going through, sometimes a little understanding is exactly what's needed. Music like this sends a beautiful message, reminding us to be kind to others. Your words brought warmth to my heart. Thanks for sharing.😊
Thank you for your kind words @obifavvy, I'm glad you enjoyed it🤗
So true Lizelle! It's never been more important to be positive and shine that light on others. Being able to shift another person's energy is a true gift and this is a gift that comes naturally to you. Thanks for this reminder!
I think this is something that also comes naturally to you Eric. People forget that everyone's battling through storms.
Hi @lizelle, it's the little things that make all the difference. A kind gesture towards a neighbor can brighten their day. We live such fast-paced lives that we forget about others. Small actions open the door to meeting new people; perhaps they just need some company or someone to listen.
Happy weekend!
