My Music Mood - Weekend Engagement #209

weekend.jpg

Good morning in the southern hemisphere, friends of Weekend Experiences. It's early and while drinking some mates I have started to write, since yesterday I decided what topic I would use to share about the initiative #209 that you can find in this link, & thinking about it I share with you my experience, although exploring emotions, it is not something specific to the weekend, I do it with this motivation. Listening to music. Mainly because it is something that can not miss in my day to day, morning afternoon or evening, there is music playing here.

The song that brings a tear to my eye, although it will be hard for me to share it, I must admit that thanks to it, I also find one of the many songs that bring a smile to my face. This song of tears is, paradoxically, “Out of Tears” by the Rolling Stones. The truth is that this band has been with me since I was very little and precisely this album was one of the first I remember, because in my childhood we had only one computer to listen to music, and in it, my older brother repeated their albums, which I liked for their cover art and of course, how to forget the iconic logo of Voodoo Lounge.I'll tell you a secret too, I have a jacket waiting to be painted with this art, because I really accompanied me in many stages of my existence this album and this song.

When I was much older it hurt me to go through a heartbreak, and a frustration about someone not loving me and crying long into the night. Anyway, the pain will always be hidden in the songs. I think both heartbreak, pain and some other not so positive feelings are great inspirations for artists and songwriters.

This topic has made me think that there have been many songs throughout my life that have accompanied me to be happy, or even when I was sadder, it's great to be able to stop and think about this while I write for the community, it inspires me and makes me feel accompanied in my different moments.

And now, my happy song, which also takes me back to childhood and in this case, I bring you an Argentine band, they will be without a doubt, to my taste, the best band we have seen as a country, although of course, between fans and haters, the country is divided and there are many who do not like it, without further ado, with you, Caña seca y un membrillo. A campfire song that everyone hums, that makes me dance, that cheers up my life. It speaks precisely of a sad woman who can no longer find her shine and they tell her “dance until the end” as if finally, with all the sadness and difficult feelings, she will have to continue in this dance.

This song motivates me, makes me happy and makes me dance, I hope to never change it and always go to it to smile. And with this as a finale, I thank you for reading, I send you a big hug and a wish for a good weekend for everyone! I also hope you liked the pictures I chose to accompany this post.

Thanks for reading me, Kiki✨

That Rolling Stones song that brings tears to your eyes is really powerful. It's amazing how certain melodies and lyrics can connect so deeply with our personal history, to the point of becoming witnesses to our own past feelings.👍

Totally agree, my friend! Songs that summarize global feelings, and make us feel cozy and with a sense of belonging have a separate place in our history. I feel very identified with the music, feeling transported and even understood, haha.

I send you a big greeting, have a good start of the week.

Beautiful pictures in your post. The Rolling Stones are always good, Caña seca y un membrillo I wasn't familiar with them. Great song choice! I haven't been to Argentina in some time now, I used to go all the time in the early 90's when I lived in Chile.

Any song that motivates you and makes you dance is always worth listening to. I hope you have a great weekend. Cuídate mucho

Thank you very much! The Rolling Stones are a classic in my life. Just as you say, in the 90's these two bands were listened to here. Caña seca y un membrillo is the name of the song, the band is Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, icons in Argentina.

I like to know that you lived in Chile and visited Argentina when I was a child, I remember those days with much hope.

I send you a big hug!
