The Interesting Power of the Subconscious Mind While Exercising the Brain to Memorise

Do you know that the subconscious mind is very powerful where even without you realising, your brain picks up certain worth storing information?

This happened to me, either by God's divine encounter or not, through this piano lesson my brain has unleashed its reminder to me that every cell is alive in our body.

As a worshipper, constant listening to all kinds of praise and worship songs is part and parcel of life, including spontaneous worship even by leaders or quiet time.

And just so happened when I started learning to memorise key E major scale and started learning the first exercise, the 1-5 scales to train my muscle memory, melodies of all kinds of chord progression flowed through my fingers.

As @lifeisajourney already mentioned not to forget to jott it down, not wanting to forget I started recording these chord progression, I started recording via video how they sound, which key was pressed so that I can repeat it in the future.

I didn't want the flow to be interrupted while searching for a pen, so I really am grateful that mobile phones with video capabilities exist in my lifetime!

I am sure many would have felt the same!

The more I repeated, the more melodies flowed through my mind; and from recording just the chords, I recorded the brief melody as well.

And so all of this formed this video where I can just keep it at the moment and I can return to watch later.

At the moment I still am not certain what chord progression terms where those. Maybe as I continue to learn further I will know what those are called.

But in the meantime, "Hallelujah to the King" is my way of quiet time spent with my Heavenly Father.

Then after all the recording and replaying, I started to wonder whether I have heard this somewhere before, then I decided to ask "Hey Google!" to help me.

Turned out that the melody actually is 98% similar to a verse of a worship song called Wellspring , by the worship group Leeland!

This is their original video and you can see the difference is just at the end of the Verse melody!

Isn't it interesting? I cannot recall actively listening / participating to practice to this song before; but somehow, this song could have been played while I was driving to work / busy doing house chores while listening / during free flow worship in church and my brain just picked it up and stored it aside.

That's how powerful our brain is and how awesome we are fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator!

No amount of evolution theory can convince me that such a complex brain can just "happened". 😌

And I am just as grateful to know I can now call HIM , Aba Father. 🙏🏼
