Magnetic Love

I recently found a rock on the beach and after placing a magnet beside it, I discovered that the rock was attracted to it. This opened up the tantalizing possibility that the rock came from outer space or at least the bowels of hell. Thus began an epic geophysical journey that taught me more than I ever wanted to know about rock formation. If you would like to read the mad report, please visit this post.

While I was learning a lot of facts about rock formation, I realized just how dry it sounded. So to spice things up, I generated several AI images illustrating “magnetic” rock formation in different scenarios, as per my research. I created more images than I needed, and the extra ones were interesting, so I decided to write a song and make it come alive with the magic of AI. I wrote the lyrics and prompted Udio AI music generator to create an ambient electronic song that sounded ethereal with beautiful electronic beat, and spacey haunting female voice.

The software generated a couple of songs, and one of them was alright, but the lyrics were slightly off with too much magnetic love. So, I edited the lyrics and generated a couple of more songs then chose the one you may have heard in the video. Some parts of the song sounded great and others not so much, but I was generally happy with the result. I could have fine-tuned it some more, especially with the lyrics, but I decided to just roll with the beat.

I put images and audio in MS Clipchamp, mixing it up a bit with transitions, timings, and effects. Below, I’ve copied the lyrics as they were entered the second time into the AI music generator. I tried to add the broad scientific findings of my research without getting bogged down in details. I hope you enjoyed it!
