The summer is slowly coming to an end and with it the holiday season. Today, we would like to ask you the following question:

For most of the year, on Tuesdays, I take my grandsons to school and then pick them up. But last Tuesday, I got to spend time with them during the school holidays. And they wanted to go blackberry picking.
So we headed out to the nearby Baildon Bank, which was my playground during my school holidays...

The sandstone cliffs are the remains of stone quarrying. And they get full sunshine for most of the day. So there's plenty of ripe blackberries ready for picking. It took me straight back to my childhood.

That's a great activity and there is nothing like collecting berries directly from nature. It's nice you could show that to your grandsons.

Seems not everybody can laze in summer lol. I had really relaxing holidays in Turkey and I honestly didn't do much else than swim, eat and sleep lol

First of all in my opinion it's still enough time to the end of holiday season. Don't forget it's HF ahead! 😉👍
But if talk about me my summer was very busy and intensive at work. Of course I had some days off which I tried to spend with my family and friends at nature or near water.
Also I had couple trips inside my country.
And I hope at September I'll have my vacation . But here come some bad news that it'll be unfortunately later than HF and I can't to visit it. Also foreign docs for my younger kid isn't ready yet.((
So in my case I still hope for the best but keeping in my mind that all can go on another one way... 🤷🏼♂️
Hopefully you will be able to take a break in September in spite of it :-)

Mom was in the hospital in March (during the peak of summer or dry season for us) so there was no vacation elsewhere, just within the locality :)

I don't even know when it's 🤣. From what I remember, the Steam Summer Sale was full of busy times because some customers had bought Steam Wallet. I also bought a game to accompany me when I have time to play. My mother was still opening a family bicycle part shop. Sometimes we went out when no one was too busy at that time 😂. !LOL

Only Good thing about this summer was the time I spent in my hometown and touched some grass during that time.. other than that this summer was meh depressing.

I took my first plane trip, I went to a state called Bahia and I got to see the beach and the sea for the first time! I loved it, I took lots of photos and posted everything here on Hive!
That's great. There were a lot of new things for you this summer. I think you will always remember it. I still remember my first trip to the beach even if it is 40 years ago :-)

It's summer all year round in my country because we are near the equator. So there's no vacation and life goes on as usual. Hehe!

Well I took some Fridays off and went camping with my family in 3 weekends. It is always good to take advantage of seeing nature all green pretty close since during the winter the parks are closed and they are all covered by snow.

Summer has been very busy despite some nice holidays to relax. Kids birthdays, house painting and diy jobs. Plus sweating like mad in the heat but sleeping under air conditioning! lol
I totally get what you say. I hate sweating and it seems I even sweat when I type on the keyboard of my computer lol.

The summer has been amazing. I have had the opportunity to travel to the beach with my family, enjoy the sun, the sand and the sea. I have also taken the opportunity to rest, read some books I had pending and spend time with friends. It has been a very relaxing and fun summer.

I've been on vacation for a week. I travelled to the Principality of Andorra looking for the freshness of the mountain and fleeing the heat. I have also taken the opportunity to read more and sleep on the hottest days the famous Spanish siesta. 😁
You are lucky, you can go abroad by staying within spain lol. If my memory is correct, spain is all around andorra :-). I think it was a great idea to go a bit into the mountains and enjoy fresher temperatures.
Almost! Andorra is between France and Spain, hehe. But it’s like staying in Spain, yes. Everyone speaks Spanish and they use euro as currency too.

We don't really have summer in my country. Our seasons are rain, more rain, loads of rain. But for the past 3 months, it was rather productive and I've clear quite a substantial amount of work.

Oh no! It's already over? hahaha I have not been able to go on summer vacation yet! Of the options you mention, I have worked a lot and had a hard time with the high temperatures xD I even found myself going to a mall to do some errands instead of other places to take advantage of the air conditioning!
At least the mall was decorated very differently and I got some nice pictures.
You got air conditioning and blue gigantic flours. What do you want more lol. I actually did the same today. My office was just too hot and I went to take a cup of coffee in the shopping center and took my laptop with me :-)

This summer has been going by very quickly. We haven't been vacationing as much as other years, but our family still spends much time outside in the sunshine.

In my case, it's winter, very cold, catching up on series and recovering from the flu and sore throat.
It's difficult to imagine that people are cold at the moment but I need to wrap my head around and accept that the earth is round lol. Hope you will get better soon!

No Summer holidays. Unable to find a job in UK I came back to India in july. I am still applying for UK based jobs from India.
Mumbai is humid and it's rainy season now.
