[ESP-ENG] Mi primera vez asistiendo a una batalla de rap

Hola amigos, hoy quiero hablarles de un movimiento artístico que esta tomando fuerza hoy en Cuba. El rap siempre fue una manera de expresarse y de alguna manera decir la realidad más cruda, por esa razón siempre se ha asociado este estilo musical con las personas de color que viven en barrios marginales, la escoria de la sociedad, los más pobres que por transitividad son los maltratados por las condiciones de vida. Aquí en Cuba la realidad nos toca por igual sin embargo son pocos los raperos que han llegado a relucir, pues a pesar del trabajo duro, es difícil para los artistas en potencia que eligen este formato para expresarse, hacerse ver o darse a conocer. Justo por esta razón un grupo de muchachos crearon la Kraken league.

Hello friends, today I want to talk to you about an artistic movement that is gaining strength today in Cuba. Rap has always been a way of expressing oneself and in a way to tell the crudest reality, for that reason this musical style has always been associated with people of color who live in marginal neighborhoods, the scum of society, the poorest who by transitivity are the mistreated by the conditions of life. Here in Cuba the reality touches us equally, however there are few rappers who have come to shine, because despite the hard work, it is difficult for potential artists who choose this format to express themselves, to be seen or to make themselves known. This is exactly why a group of guys created the Kraken league.

Muchachos que se reunían en un parque para pasar el rato y rapear un poco con sus amigos. Notaron que cada vez habían más interesados, y personas curiosas se acercaban a ver, así fue como surgió la idea de insentivar a todos esos jóvenes con talento, darles una oportunidad de brillar en un lugar, rodeado de personas que entienden y aprecian lo que haces. Lo que empezó entre risas y amigos, lo que parecería un pasatiempo se convirtió en la meta de algunos y me gustó mucho la idea. Aún no existe ninguna organización oficial ni reconocida por el estado, ninguna competencia nacional ni algún premio por el que luchar más que hacer lo que te gusta y ganarte el respeto por ello. Por ahora la idea es darles la motivación a los aficionados, darles la confianza y el apoyo que necesitan, descubrir nuevos talentos y darlos a conocer ante este aún pequeño grupo. La Kraken League empezó para personas con la capacidad de escribir pero también han participado personas que saben improvisar y esto ha llevado a las batallas de rap, en estas se normaliza atacar a tu contrincante pero puede ponerse bastante interesante.

Hablemos del draft, con un nuevo formato de batalla, donde en lugar de improvisar las respuestas hacia tu contrincante, escribes las líneas que vas a utilizar y te llevarán a la victoria. Con el tiempo de antelación, tienes la posibilidad de investigar tu oponente aunque a veces no es necesario, cuando escribes bien puedes demostrar que tus habilidades son superiores sin necesidad de ofenderlo o humillarlo. Al ser escritas tiene la ventaja de que pienses bien cada frase y las más originales, ocurrentes y creativas se llevan el aprecio del público. La cultura es lo último que esperarías encontrar, pero son muy utilizadas referencias a películas, libros, artistas, geografía y tantos otros temas variados que en ocasiones resulta difícil seguir el ritmo de lo que quiso decir, lo cual lo hace aun más interesante y digno de estudio. También a menudo juegan con recursos de la literatura española, haciéndo honor al arte de las letras en toda su expresión, aunque no lo parezca es hermoso.

Es muy interesante como alguien como yo, que apenas entiende ese mundo tan profundo que es el hurbanismo pueda disfrutar una buena pelea. Las personas suelen tener un estereotipo de esto, que solo se habla en un lenguaje de violencia y despretigio pero la realidad es que como cualquier forma de arte, es digno de admirar. Espero que les haya gustado mi escrito sobre esta nueva experiencia que tuve y gracias por leer.

It is very interesting how someone like me, who barely understands the deep world of Hurbanism, can enjoy a good fight. People tend to have a stereotype of this, that it is only spoken in a language of violence and contempt but the reality is that it like any art form, is worthy of admiration.
