Daily Blog - Foggy morning + afternoon with the best recital on the beach. / Mañana con niebla + tarde con el mejor recital en la playa. 😃❤️

After a long train ride from the center of the city of Buenos Aires to the coast, precisely to the beaches of Mar del Plata, my friends and I were anxious to wake up in the apartment we had rented. We had a great day ahead of us: a hot afternoon on the beach awaited us, followed by a recital by one of the bands we like, but we wanted to start it off watching the sunrise from the balcony. Well, at least we wanted to see something from the balcony 😅.

Después de un largo viaje en tren desde el centro de la ciudad de Buenos Aires hasta la costa, precisamente a las playas de Mar del Plata, mis amigas y yo estábamos ansiosas por despertar en el departamento que habíamos alquilado. Teníamos un gran día por delante: nos esperaba una tarde de clima caluroso en la playa seguido del recital de una de las bandas que nos gustan, pero queríamos empezarlo viendo el amanecer desde el balcón. Bueno, al menos queríamos ver algo desde el balcón 😅.

The apartment we had rented was located on a 24th floor, the highest floor I had been on so far. We had been promised a beautiful view of the sea, of which we had already seen a bit the night before, but we wanted to know what it would look like in the daytime. Our surprise came when we woke up the next day and all we saw was a solid gray wall 😂.

El departamento que habíamos alquilado se ubicaba en un piso 24, el piso más alto en el que había estado hasta ahora. Se nos había prometido una vista hermosa del mar, de la cuál ya habíamos visto un poco la noche anterior, pero deseábamos saber cómo se vería de día. Nuestra sorpresa llegó cuando nos depertamos al otro día y todo lo que vimos era una sólida pared gris 😂.

You couldn't see a bit of the beach or anything, it was really incredible that the landscape was covered like that. Anyway, I got up and made my breakfast, I caught up with my things on the computer on the balcony and little by little the gray wall was clearing. This haze phenomenon lasted about 45 minutes from when I got up, and we had it for three days that week. Three days of waking up, not seeing anything and the landscape gradually discovering itself. And what a beautiful view we had 💕.

No se veía ni un poquito de la playa ni nada, era realmente increíble que el paisaje estuviera así de tapado. Sea como sea, yo me levanté y me preparé mi desayuno, me puse al día con mis cosas en la computadora en el balcón y poco a poco la pared gris fue despejando. Este fenómeno de bruma duró unos 45 minutos desde que me levanté, y lo tuvimos durante tres días esa semana. Tres días de despertarse, no ver nada y que el paisaje se vaya descubriendo de a poco. Y qué vista hermosa que teníamos 💕.

We organized this trip with the idea that it be half rest, half vacation: my sister and Sofía have their remote jobs during the week, I am with this blog and my online classes and my sister-in-law was really on vacation from her face-to-face work. Since our responsibilities only lasted until mid-afternoon on weekdays, then we would have the rest of the day to go for a walk. We planned everything so that we could arrive and enjoy the weekend before having to start work, so we had Saturday and Sunday free to be outside all day ❣️.

Este viaje lo organizamos con la idea de que sea mitad descanso, mitad vacaciones: mi hermana y Sofía tienen sus trabajos remotos durante la semana, yo estoy con este blog y mis clases en línea y mi cuñada estaba realmente de vacaciones de su trabajo presencial. Como nuestras responsabilidades solo se extendían hasta media tarde los días de semana, luego nos quedaría el resto del día para poder salir a pasear. Planeamos todo para poder llegar y disfrutar el fin de semana antes de tener que empezar a trabajar, por lo que teníamos sábado y domingo libres para estar todo el día afuera ❣️.

After having a quick lunch, we took our things and went to the beach. The Mar del Plata area has several beaches to choose from: our apartment was right in front of one of the busiest, but since it was our Saturday with a lot of free time we decided to go to one that was about 5 km from where we were. Almost without meaning to, our trip coincided with the date on which one of our favorite bands would give a free concert on the beach. Also, in those days we had a promotion from the bank where taxi rides cost us half the real price, so getting there was quite fast and cheap. And as if that were not enough, the weather gave us a beautiful summer day 😃.

Después de almorzar algo rápido, tomamos nuestras cosas y nos fuimos a la playa. La zona de Mar del Plata tiene varias playas para elegir: nuestro departamento estaba justo enfrente de una de las más concurridas, pero como era nuestro sábado de mucho tiempo libre decidimos ir a una que se encontraba a unos 5 km de donde estábamos. Casi sin quererlo, nuestro viaje coincidió con la fecha en la que una de nuestras bandas favoritas daría un recital gratis en la playa. Además, en esos días teníamos una promoción del banco por la que los viajes en taxi nos costaban la mitad del precio real, así que llegar hasta allá fue bastante rápido y económico. Y como si fuera poco, el clima nos regaló un día hermoso de verano 😃.

When I saw that the band I like was going to give this beach recital I was overjoyed: I didn't count on this and it was an excellent extra activity within our trip. This event was carried out within the framework of an initiative that the entire province of Buenos Aires had for the summer holidays: stages and stands were set up in different parts of the province so that people could go and have a good time with the family, listening some music, dancing and also enjoying children's games. These spaces called "ReCreo" were there during January and February, and we were lucky enough to coincide with an interesting event for us ❤️.

Cuando ví que la banda que me gusta iba a dar este recital playero me alegré demasiado: no contaba con esto y fue una excelente actividad extra dentro de nuestro viaje. Este evento se llevó en el marco de una iniciativa que tuvo toda la provincia de Buenos Aires por las vacaciones de verano: en distintos puntos de la provincia se pusieron escenarios y stands para que la gente pueda ir a pasar un buen rato en familia, escuchando algo de música, bailando y también disfrutando de juegos para niños. Estos espacios llamados "ReCreo" estuvieron durante enero y febrero, y tuvimos la suerte de coincidir justo con un evento interesante para nosotras ❤️.

Regarding the band, this trio is called Eruca Sativa and I think it's like the 5th time I've seen them live. They usually organize free recitals quite often as well as paid dates in different parts of the country. I've liked this band since I was a teenager and every time I see them I feel the euphoria like the first time: they have songs of all kinds, that invite you to melancholy but many others that make you dance. The beach recital was quite crowded, I was glad to see as many fans in this area enjoying the show as we were 💕.

Con respecto a la banda, este trío se llama Eruca Sativa y creo que es como la 5ta vez que los veo en vivo. Ellos suelen organizar bastante seguido recitales gratis así como también fechas pagas en distintos puntos del país. Esta banda me gusta desde mi adolescencia y cada vez que los veo siento la euforia como la primera vez: tienen canciones de todo tipo, que te invitan a la meláncolia pero otras tantas que te hacen bailar. El recital de la playa estuvo bastante concurrido, me alegré de ver a tantos fans en esta área disfrutando del show como nosotras 💕.

Enjoying the sea and good music at the same time was one of the coolest things I did this summer. This hot season was full of beautiful walks and trips, accompanied by good people and I hope they continue to be repeated throughout the year. Having decided to go to the beach a few days was a good option to say goodbye to the last hot days: it never hurts to surround yourself with a bit of waves and sand 😃.

Disfrutar del mar y de buena música al mismo tiempo fue una de las cosas más geniales que hice este verano. Esta temporada de calor estuvo llena de paseos y viajes hermosos, acompañados por buenas personas y espero que se sigan repitiendo a lo largo del año. Haber decidido ir a la playa algunos días fue una buena opción para despedir los últimos días de calor: nunca está de más rodearse de un poco de olas y arena 😃.
