The bunkers

They are iglo-formed, 33 sqm each, this is just another location, as I lost the pictures I had from back then. They are located all over Copenhagen, build after the second world war.

I never told the story about the bunkers that I ones administrated.

Well I have to admit that my memory of the years are a bit blury, but I think it started around 2002, I remember that it took around 1 year to get the contract in place. Those negotiations started in 2001 I remember.

I think it must have been around 2008 or 2009 that I lost the lease, but more about that later.

So what are these bunkers? They are used mostly for music rehearsal rooms. I rented 4 of them in a prime location of Copenhagen, they are located in a park called "Østre Anlæg" which is very central.

I rented them from the municipality, and it was the "beredskabsstyrelsen" (losely translated: emergency management agency) who administrated them.

I then rented out those 4 bunkers to two bands each for the most part, had a spot myself where I had a small music studio. I made some money back then on guitar lessons, singing lessons and music recording.

I also made money on renting out those bunkers. I had other jobs at the time and was going to University. But my plan was to make my own music, that was the whole reason I had the bunkers to begin with.

Then to make a long story short, I met Ditte who became pregnant, she ran away and I met Joanne who also became pregnant and ever since my life was caos. So I didnt get to work on my music after that. In 2008 or 2009 they cancelled the lease, due to Joanne had repeatedly not closed one of the gates, and it posed a danger for the kids playing on top of the bunkers. Including some royal kids. That was their reason of cancelling the lease after I was the one making those bunkers usable. Anyway, I was using black money with most of the bands and I think that was the real reason they just didnt wanted on the papers.

I was another place in my life and not ready for fighting to keep those bunkers, so I didnt do anything, just moved out.

It was some very great years where I met a lot of musicians. Looking back I should probably had taken it to court. It was a good income I lost and it was my own little real music business that I lost. But I think about the good memories that came out of it and in the end dealing with that "beredskabsstyrelsen" was a pain in the ass for a long time, so I wanted to move on to something where I didnt depend on irritating people that like or anything, voula, there you have it many years later: LasseCash . :)

I was the first to install internet in one of these bunkers. I got the local phone cable administrator to digg in a phoneline, then we installed (as I recall it) an ISDN connection in all the 4 bunkers. So I both installed the electricity, the internet, lights, sound dampers, carpet, fire extinguishers and probably more... oh yeah I had a minibar in all the 4 rooms, with drinks for the bands.

Since it was such a good location, it was very easy to get clients.

There is probably more stories I want to tell about the bunkers another time, but since I have tried to put my whole life on the blockchain since 2016, then I thought it was wierd that I never told about the bunkers, as it was the business venture of mine that made most money and most joy.
