En mi domingo musical, celebrando el 5 de julio, día de la independencia de mi amada y lamentablemente golpeada por los delincuentes del gobierno, hoy en día mi amada Venezuela necesita más que nunca una nueva libertad, si querer endiosar a las personas, porque eso es justamente lo que pasa con el venezolano, siempre anda endiosando al hombre, y Simón Bolívar fue endiosado.
Hoy más que nunca necesitamos varios libertadores, pero que sean hombres de bien, que de verdad quieran unificar a mi país, aunque no quiero endiosar a Simón Bolívar, hoy los invito a escuchar a Un Solo Pueblo y su maravillosa canción.
Viva Venezuela.
Y hoy más que nunca, después de lo que pasó el 24 de junio, donde dos terremotos arrasaron con varias ciudades de mi país, esta canción se siente distinta, se siente como un abrazo necesario en medio del escombro y del abandono, porque Un Solo Pueblo no canta a los gobiernos ni a los hombres que se creen dueños de la historia, canta a la tierra, al río, a la montaña, al llano y a la gente sencilla como tú y como yo, que somos los que en realidad sostenemos a este país con nuestras propias manos aunque nadie desde el poder les tienda las suyas, esa alegría de nuestra música que atraviesa la canción no nace de la ignorancia ni de la resignación, nace de la terquedad de un pueblo que insiste en celebrar su identidad aun cuando todo parece querer apagarla, y eso, en medio de un 5 de julio marcado por escombros, réplicas y promesas incumplidas de quienes gobiernan, se vuelve casi un acto de rebeldía, escuchar Viva Venezuela hoy no es solo nostalgia folclórica, es recordar que la venezolanidad no depende de un hombre providencial ni de un gobierno, sino de la gente que, terremoto tras terremoto y gobierno tras gobierno, se levanta una y otra vez sin que nadie se lo pida, esa es la Venezuela que quiero seguir cantando, no la de los que se creen dioses, sino la de un solo pueblo que resiste.
