Hoy mi domingo musical. Queen - Radio Ga Ga

Desde que tengo uso de razón y es posible que antes de eso, yo escuchaba la radio porque a mi madre le encantaba escuchar la radio, de hecho en esa época era el único medio que te unía al mundo de lo que estaba pasando fuera de ese pueblo conocido como Ciudad Bolívar.

Hoy mi playlist hizo de las suya trayendo a mi domingo musical esta canción de un gran grupo musical como lo es Queen con su canción Radio Ga Ga que a pesar de que esta canción este año 2024 cumple 40 años desde su lanzamiento, parece mentira, pero sigue estando vigente, es mi opinión puesta de que yo con mis 49 años aún escucho la radio porque me gusta escuchar la radio, eso si solo unas estaciones o diales en específico donde sé que no reproducen reggaeton.

"Radio Ga Ga" de Queen, cuando hablo de que cumple 40 años, lo digo porque fue lanzada en 1984, y me acuerdo de que para mi edad, que apenas tenía unos 10 años, me cautivó desde la primera vez que la escuché y es precisamente porque era la radio lo único que tenía, además de que su ritmo es muy pegadizo, la melodía es memorable y, pero también debo de reconocer que con la voz tan poderosa de Freddie Mercury la convirtieron en un clásico instantáneo.

Pero más allá de su atractivo musical, cuando la escuchas una y otra vez sin necesidad de entender lo que dice, se puede asumir de que la letra de la canción esconde un mensaje profundo que me ha resonado a lo largo de los años, cuando era niño no lo entendía, después de adulto logre comprende que la canción habla de la nostalgia por la radio en una época en la que la televisión comenzaba a dominar el panorama mediático, claro y nuevamente lo repito yo no tenía televisión en esas épocas y la radio era mi única conexión con la música.

El estribillo, "Radio Ga Ga", es un llamado a la acción para que no olvidemos el poder de la radio y su capacidad para conectar a las personas. En un mundo donde la tecnología cambia constantemente y eso lo digo con propiedad, mis hijas no escuchan la radio, y las pocas veces que lo hacen es solo cuando vamos en las mañanas al colegio. "Radio Ga Ga" nos recuerda que hay algunas cosas que nunca deben cambiar. La canción nos invita a celebrar el poder de la radio, la nostalgia y la conexión humana.

La radio siempre marco mi vida musical, no soy músico ni nada por el estilo, pero aprecio y vivo la música gracias a la radio.
