Hoy mi domingo musical amaneció con Metallica otra vez dejé que mi playlist eligiera mi canción de mi domingo, esas canciones con la cual comienzo el día después de pararme de la cama, poner la máquina que hace el café y prender la computadora.

The Unforgiven puede tener dos interpretaciones una es los imperdonables, pero la canción es en singular, por lo tanto, yo se puede decir sin perdón, claro eso es el resultado que me dio el traductor Deepl, ahora bien la letra puede ser sin perdón porque es lo que más rima con respecto a lo que dice.

Lanzada en 1991, yo estaba recién llegado a la capital de Venezuela, me cautivó desde la primera vez que la escuché. En ese momento yo escuchaba esa canción y la sentía sin saber lo que decía que la letra estaba cargada de dolor y hasta la sentía con mucha tristeza, en el pequeño cuarto donde yo vivía esa canción me llevó a un viaje introspectivo que me hizo reflexionar sobre la fragilidad de la vida y la búsqueda de la paz interior a pesar de mis 17 años cuando la escuche por primera vez, de una compre el Casete con las canciones de Metallica.

Para mí esa canción es como un himno a la lucha interna, comienza con un riff melancólico que te hace pensar, pero a su vez crea una atmósfera de solemnidad. La voz de mi pana James Hetfield, se puede sentir como está cargada de esa emoción, claro, todos los instrumentos que interactúan te narra la historia de ese pobre hombre atormentado por su pasado. Como ese pasado le acompaña, lo que describe la letra es como el se siente culpable por sus errores y busca el perdón, pero no sabe cómo encontrarlo, de allí viene esa estrofa que marca una gran diferencia-

La letra de "The Unforgiven" es un mensaje universal sobre la lucha por la redención.
