Hoy mi domingo musical. Faltan Cinco Pa Las Doce - Nestor Zavarce

Faltan cinco pa' las doce, una canción emblemática en todo los hogares de un venezolano, en cualquier lugar del mundo, donde nos une esa pieza musical alrededor de un recuerdo, o al rededor de esa madre que aún está viva y que de alguna manera queremos estar con ella, quien no se acuerda de su mamá cuando solamente comienza a sonar esa canción.

Esa parte que dice, las campanas de la iglesia están sonando, y es así, mientras vivía en casa de mi madre cerca había una iglesia que cuando faltaban 5 para la doce, comenzaban a sonar esas campanas, pero también en radio rumbos, “Faltan cinco pa' las doce” es una canción que me transporta a mi infancia. Desde pequeño, la he escuchado resonar en las fiestas decembrinas, impregnando el ambiente de una mezcla de nostalgia y alegría.

Esa nostalgia que nos embarga con solo escuchar esa canción y sobre todo cuando no estás con tu madre que está viejita como lo es mi caso, este año no estaré con ella cuando comience el nuevo año 2024.

Puede parecer que la canción es de nostalgia, pero yo opino que esa canción no se limita a la tristeza. El estribillo, con su ritmo más alegre, nos invita a celebrar la vida y a disfrutar de los seres queridos, sobre todo los seres queridos que están a tu lado, en mi caso mis hijas y mi esposa. Para mí, esta canción es un himno que se escucha en toda Venezuela y todas partes del mundo, donde viva un venezolano, tal y como lo mencione en el primer párrafo, cada año que la escucho, me recuerda las Navidades de mi infancia, con sus tradiciones, aromas y sabores. Me hace pensar en las personas que ya no están y en los recuerdos que atesoro.

Al mismo tiempo, “Faltan cinco pa' las doce” es un canto a la esperanza. El año nuevo representa un nuevo comienzo, una oportunidad para dejar atrás lo viejo y abrazar lo nuevo con ilusión.

Feliz año, que sea un año lleno de oportunidades.

Faltan cinco pa' las doce, an emblematic song in every Venezuelan's home, anywhere in the world, where that piece of music unites us around a memory, or around that mother who is still alive and that somehow we want to be with her, who does not remember his mother when that song starts playing.

That part that says, the church bells are ringing, and it is so, while I lived in my mother's house there was a church nearby that when it was five to twelve, those bells began to ring, but also in radio rumbos, "Faltan cinco pa' las doce" is a song that transports me to my childhood. Since I was a child, I have heard it resonate during the Christmas holidays, impregnating the atmosphere with a mixture of nostalgia and joy.

That nostalgia that overwhelms us just by listening to that song and especially when you are not with your mother who is old, as in my case, this year I will not be with her when the new year 2024 begins.

It may seem that the song is about nostalgia, but I believe that this song is not limited to sadness. The chorus, with its more cheerful rhythm, invites us to celebrate life and to enjoy our loved ones, especially the loved ones who are by your side, in my case my daughters and my wife. For me, this song is a hymn that is heard throughout Venezuela and everywhere in the world, wherever a Venezuelan lives, as I mentioned in the first paragraph, every year I listen to it, it reminds me of the Christmas of my childhood, with its traditions, aromas and flavors. It makes me think of the people who are no longer here and the memories I treasure.

At the same time, "Faltan cinco pa' las doce" is a song of hope. The new year represents a new beginning, an opportunity to leave the old behind and embrace the new with illusion.
