Visit to Expo El Sistema

Greetings, friends. This week I took a walk around the city in search of my black and white photographs. My purpose was to find those places in our city, which remain forgotten. But this time I changed my course and wanted to enjoy an exhibition that was taking place this weekend, in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs in Venezuela, and it was the Expo El Sistema 50th Anniversary, where they highlight the achievements, and the projects they have for the future.

Visita a la Expo El Sistema

Un saludo, amigos. Esta semana hice un paseo por la ciudad en busca de mis fotografías en blanco y negro. Mi propósito era encontrar esos lugares de nuestra ciudad, que permanecen olvidados. Pero esta vez cambié mi rumbo y quise disfrutar de una exposición que se estaba realizando este fin de semana, en conmemoración a los 50 años del Sistema de Orquestas y Coros Juveniles e Infantiles en Venezuela, y era la Expo El Sistema 50 Aniversario, donde resaltan los logros, y los proyectos que tienen a futuro.

An exhibition that highlighted the social work through music in each of its booths, where the successes and recognitions that the Venezuelan Orchestra System has had at national and international level are reflected, taking our music and Venezuelan roots to the whole world.

Una exposición que destacó la labor social a través de la música en cada uno de su stand, donde se reflejan los éxitos y reconocimientos, que ha tenido el Sistema de Orquesta de Venezuela a nivel nacional e internacional, llevando a todo el mundo nuestra música y raíces venezolanas.

Another experience at the expo was to see the different musical instruments that are used in an orchestra. At this Expo, there was the presence of the Lutherie Program, a program that teaches how to build, repair and rebuild musical instruments, as well as presenting a wide range of instruments for exhibition and sale.

Otras de la experiencia que se dieron en la exposición, fue ver los diferentes instrumentos musicales que se utilizan en una orquesta. En esta Expo, estuvo la presencia del Programa de Lutería, un programa que enseña a construir, a reparar y reconstruir instrumentos musicales, a su vez presentando una amplia gama de instrumentos para la exhibición y venta.

It is here where I wanted to bring you this collection of instruments in photos captured in black and white, which give a different atmosphere to the enclosure and at the same time exciting, when you hear the background music, which takes you to those great classics of black and white movies, where Jazz is accompanied by all these instruments and seem to come to life.

Es aquí donde quise traerles, esta colección de instrumentos en fotos captadas en blanco y negro, que le dan una atmosfera diferente al recinto y a la vez emocionante, cuando oyes la música de fondo, que te lleva a esos grandes clásicos de películas en blanco y negro, donde el Jazz se acompaña de todos esos instrumentos y parecen cobrar vida.

I realized that we can not follow a pattern of habit all the time, we have to be flexible and change sometimes our habits and look for new alternatives, today I enjoyed it to the fullest at the Expo, and I had a lot of learning.

Me di cuenta que no podemos seguir con un patrón de costumbre todo el tiempo, hay que ser flexible y cambiar algunas veces nuestras costumbres y buscar nuevas alternativas, el día de hoy lo disfruté al máximo en la Expo, y tuve mucho aprendizaje.
