Heya Hive! It's another Three Tunes Tuesday! This is one day I look forward to every week amidst my ever-busy schedule. Thanks to @ablaze who started this cute initiative where we share songs from all over the place and talk about them. You have no idea how helpful #TTT has become to me (and I guess others too).

Music has the special power to bring people together no matter the genre or style. Before I would listen to random songs and anyone that possessed the vibe I wanted at that moment became my favourite. They stay on repeat until forever or when hubby turns off the player in exasperation! 🤣 I do so sometimes to get some reaction from him (he's not a music person). Lately, he's starting to appreciate my selection.

Okay, I came across this cool artist, David Kushner. He is so young but his songs are wise and touching. A radio station played one of his songs and I wasn't sure I heard the lyrics right. So I Googled it and was surprised. At twenty-three, how can a person know how to create art around themes that are global, humane and deserving of attention?

David Kushner got my attention that morning because of the theme and also his voice! I understand his music is influenced by his faith which is not surprising. There's a touching depth to his songs and the range of his voice carries his message straight to where they need to be—the heart.

My three songs selected for this Tuesday are all David Kushner's singles. So here goes…..

Mr Forgettable

This song was written solely for those dealing with memory loss issues, hence the title. The lyrics are touching especially these lines:

When I don't recognize
Any of you that love me
I try to memorise and identify
But it's all getting foggy

Source

I have not met anyone with this type of loss but I know the feeling when I temporarily forget something. It's frustrating and annoying. Usually, I retrace my steps back to whatever I was doing when I decided something and it helps me remember. For someone with Alzheimer's, dementia or amnesia, it's a different kettle which calls for some kind of understanding. David Kushner helps me empathise with those people through this soulful song.

Daylight

Do you know that saying "to err is human…"? We have this constant struggle with light and darkness, often desiring the latter more because it's just so tempting! After listening to this single by David, I see this song calling out forgiveness when we err because it's just normal.

You can't deny this is another touching topic. Many people live with unforgiveness not towards another person but to themselves! I've been there and this song is healing. Time to let go...time to forgive yourself…and others too.

Elk Grove

I'm not sure about this one but I simply love the melody. The song appeals to a love that is lost but the lyrics can be interpreted in some other way. David calls this love "Ivy in Elk Grove". I have things I have loved and lost (yes, this song can also apply to inanimate objects) and wish I could get them back.

I think I've found a new love for David's songs and I hope you do too if you don't know about him. His voice is just it for me. His songs play continuously in my head as I go about my chores.

Cool, I really like what you have brought us here today, I had never heard of this guy before, but from the first bit of strumming in Mr. Forgettable I knew that I would like it, thanks for sharing..

For sure.... That would be one of my worse fears, to have any of these diseases, you would be pretty oblivious to it, but for those around you, it would be heart breaking and very difficult.

Great share for #ttt @ladytitan
