Reviewing Seungmin's Solo Song "As We Are" + Rising Star Stat Update + Packs Opening!

Analizaremos un poco lo que tocó. Fui tomando nota de lo que fue tocando en cada sobre, y gracias a la herramienta de mi amigo @mateodm03, HIVE NFTs, puedo verlas con más claridad. Esto fue lo mejor que tocó el día de hoy:

Nuevamente les preparé una review con video musical. En esta ocasión particular, realizaremos la review de 1 de las 8 canciones solo que tienen cada uno de los miembros de Stray Kids. Esta es la segunda, perteneciente al segundo miembro más joven del grupo, Seungmin. ¿Ya están viendo el patrón, no? Vamos por orden de edad.
Once again, I've prepared a review with a music video for you. On this particular occasion, we'll be reviewing 1 of the 8 solo songs that each of the Stray Kids members has. This is the second one, belonging to the second youngest member of the group, Seungmin. You're seeing the pattern now, right? We're going in order of age.
Por supuesto, hay consideraciones sobre esta sección y el análisis que se hará para que no sea la típica "este tema me gustó 7/10".
Para analizarlos, escucharé no sólo la canción sino el álbum / single completo de donde esta haya salido. Esto me dará un margen mejor de análisis del artista y de la composición más que pensar solamente en una canción singular sin ningún tipo de conexto. La idea de este tipo de dinámicas es también identificar qué canción es buena para el álbum y cuales no lo son, o si es una canción floja pero no es necesariamente la canción principal del álbum, claramente la tendré en cuenta de una forma distinta.
Se analizará cada canción del álbum / single, y además, le daré un punaje a cada una, finalizando en un puntaje del álbum / single completo. Estos luego irán a un Excel donde tengo mis opiniones musicales formadas.
Sin nada más que decir, comencemos:
Of course, there are considerations about this section and the analysis that will be done so that it is not the typical ‘yeah I this track 7/10’.
To analyse them, I will listen not only to the song but to the whole album / single from which it came out. This will give me a better scope of analysis of the artist and the composition rather than just thinking about a singular song without any kind of connection. The idea of this kind of dynamic is also to identify which song is good for the album and which are not, or if it is a not so bad song but not necessarily the main song on the album, clearly I will think about it in a different way.
Each song on the album / single will be analysed, and in addition, I will give a score to each song, ending in a score for the whole album / single. These will then go into an Excel where I have my musical opinions formed.

Seungmin es un miembro de la banda de chicos Stray Kids. Unido a JYP en el año 2017 luego de audicionar en el 2016 en la 13ava audición abeirta, tras ganar el segundo lugar, el muchacho se une con el rol principalmente de cantante. Nuestro amigo, fan de la banda DAY6 y amante del béisbol, tuvo que dejar este último deporte por cuestiones físicas.
Este integrante junto a sus 7 compañeros ha sacado una canción para lo que en el fandom se llama "SKZ - Player", que son canciones no sacadas como grupo, sino individualmente. En este álbum, HOP, se pueden apreciar las 8 canciones solistas de cada uno de los miembros de Stray Kids.
Ahora, veamos como nuestro Dandy Boy se desenvuelve en esta canción tan melódicamente linda, así como apreciar lo que significa dejar atrás un sueño para cumplir otro totalmente distinto.
Seungmin is a member of the boy band Stray Kids. He joined JYP Entertainment in 2017 after auditioning in 2016 at the 13th open audition, where he won second place. He joined the group primarily as a singer. Our friend, a fan of the band DAY6 and a baseball enthusiast, had to give up the latter sport due to physical issues.
This member, along with his 7 bandmates, has released a song for what is known in the fandom as "SKZ - Player," which are songs not released as a group but individually. In this album, HOP, you can appreciate the 8 solo songs from each of the Stray Kids members.
Now, let's see how our Dandy Boy unfolds in this melodically beautiful song, as well as appreciate what it means to leave behind one dream to fulfill a completely different one.

La canción comienza lentamente con unas guitarras y de a poco se van escuchando como las baterías van dando ritmo a la canción. El primer cambio lo empezamos a notar a partir del segundo 30, donde la canción se acelera, y ya podemos oír el deleite a los oídos que es escuchar la voz angelical de Seungmin.
Entre falsetos, y de forma harmoniosa, se nos introduce a una parte de la canción, que sirve como un pre-coro, lenta, melódica, que nos trae una sensación de recuerdos y nostalgia. ¿Pueden escuchar cómo la voz de Seungmin va de a poquito tocando el alma de quien la escucha?
Luego de una nota larga, el tema dispara a una versión más rock de lo que veníamos escuchando. Inspirado totalmente en su banda favorita, y modelo a seguir, DAY6, este softrock se va armando de a poco instrumentalmente, para pasar a lo que sería el segundo verso.
Cantando con todas las fuerzas arriba de una base de canción rock melódica, escuchamos una melodía y ritmo iguales al primero, pero esta vez con una base de rock como la que solíamos escuchar por ahí de los 2005 - 2010. Volviéndose más fuerte, repetimos el primer coro con la diferencia que esta vez se puede apreciar la base rock mucho más presente, así como la voz de Seungmin más fuerte.
Luego del segundo coro, la canción se detiene repentinamente para poder apreciar un momento de reflexión (en el video), y melódicamente, pasamos a un puente hecho en guitarra, tocada por el mismo Seungmin, quien es capaz de tocar la guitarra y el piano.
Luego de un corto puente, pasamos al último coro, melódicamente exacto al segundo, sin embargo, terminando con la base que veníamos escuchando de rock, y harmonías vocales que acompañan perfectamente ala instrumental. La voz de Seungmin es perfecta para este tipo de canciones, y no podría ser menos del fan N°1 de DAY6, ¿no es así?
Puntaje: 7/10
The song begins slowly with guitars, and little by little, the drums can be heard setting the rhythm. The first change we start to notice around the 30-second mark, where the song speeds up, and we can already hear the delight to the ears that is listening to Seungmin's angelic voice.
Through falsettos and harmoniously, we are introduced to a part of the song that serves as a pre-chorus – slow, melodic, bringing us a sense of memories and nostalgia. Can you hear how Seungmin's voice is slowly touching the soul of the listener?
After a long note, the track bursts into a rockier version of what we had been hearing. Totally inspired by his favorite band and role model, DAY6, this soft rock gradually builds instrumentally, leading into what would be the second verse.
Singing with full force over a melodic rock song base, we hear a melody and rhythm identical to the first verse, but this time with a rock base like the kind we used to hear around 2005 - 2010. Growing stronger, we repeat the first chorus with the difference that this time, the rock base is much more present, as well as Seungmin's stronger voice.
After the second chorus, the song suddenly stops to allow for a moment of reflection (in the video), and melodically, we move into a bridge made on guitar, played by Seungmin himself, who is capable of playing both the guitar and the piano.
Following a short bridge, we move to the final chorus, melodically exactly the same as the second. However, it ends with the rock base we had been hearing and vocal harmonies that perfectly accompany the instrumental. Seungmin's voice is perfect for this type of song, and what else could you expect from DAY6's No. 1 fan, right?
Score: 7/10
Ciertamente cuando vi el videoclip, de a poco fue como trayéndome recuerdos de mi propio pasado y cosas que tuve que dejar para dedicarme a algunas otras cosas, o cosas que tuve que soltar en mi vida porque no era el camino indicado.
Esta canción si bien es una canción hermosa en términos de canto, melodía, etc. también lo es en significado, y no solo lo significa para mí, sino lo que significó para él, el no poder cumplir tu sueño y tener que perseguir otro camino para no quedarte estancado.
Una canción sin duda bellísima para escuchar, con mucho significado, y aunque no sea de mis favoritas del álbum, sí tiene un lugar especial.

Certainly, when I watched the music video, it gradually brought back memories of my own past and things I had to leave behind to dedicate myself to other things, or things I had to let go of in my life because they weren't the right path.
This song, while being beautiful in terms of singing, melody, etc., is also beautiful in its meaning, and not just what it means to me, but what it meant to him – not being able to fulfill your dream and having to pursue another path to avoid getting stuck.
Without a doubt, a very beautiful song to listen to, with a lot of meaning, and although it's not one of my favorites on the album, it does hold a special place.
