Yesi Yesi 🇬🇭

"Oh my goodness!" This was my scream when I heard a song I never thought I would ever hear again being played at a party I attended last week. How did the DJ even think of playing that song in an age where new songs are rolling out every second and the old ones are gradually being forgotten as the days pass by?

I quickly went to YouTube to make a search. I remembered “Yesi Yesi,” and that was all I typed into the search space. The song came up, and it brought back a lot of memories.

It is a Ghanaian song that was released around 2011 or thereabout. We used to play this song on loudspeakers alongside other trending Nigerian songs. I enjoyed hearing the song being played, but sadly, it ended that same period because it wasn't that catchy enough to be kept for long. Yes, it was a banger then, but it faded off as well… maybe it's because it's from Ghana. 😂

Letter to my Ex by Nasboi and Khaid

Nasboi has a way of marketing his songs, and this one isn't an exception, but it came in a different way. Although the whole story of heartbreak looks real because he made different emotional videos, I just knew he was up to something—and this is the song, “Letter to my Ex.”

I haven't paid good attention to it yet. As usual, I was more concerned about his ways of selling his songs.

Lalala by Young Jonn and Rema

A good song with two great artists. The kind where just knowing that both of them are on the song makes one want to listen to it by all means.

Thanks for reading.
