TTT: Three Throwbacks

avatar

Greetings Music lovers!

I feel so good I'm making it an habit to be joining the #threetunetuesday every week organized by @ablaze . I always enjoy the moment when I go in search of musics to bring to the floor here.

I wanted to make today's show a special one by picking tunes based on suggestions from friends, so I asked a friend and she replied with "everything throwback". I was marveled because she's a junior Gen z and it's rare for people like her to stay glued to Throwbacks. Lol🤣

My today's collections are typically based on Throwbacks because I'm a big fan of those kinda songs.
More also, these songs would sound uninteresting to people that are not familiar with them especially the none Africans...so pardon me.

Let's go!

Who born the maga by Wande Coal & K-switch

Incase you want to feel this song better, enter your car, play this song and put it on a moderate volume and feel how it'll take you to heaven.
You remember Mo'hits Records, right? I was a frontliner of that Record before it scattered.
So, this song was released when Mo'hits Records was still functioning in the year 2008. Wow!
Wande Coal popularly known as WC killed his lines there with his Magical voice.

I can sing that first verse. If you want me to sing it for you, meet me on discord 🤣
I have a teaser here;

🎶🎶You dey put your mouth for wetin no concern you
🎶🎶You be arsenal, I be man U

🤗

God or bad by Jmartins, Timaya & Psquare

As a Nigerian, you should know this song, if you don't, then....🤺🤺

This song was so sweet and still sweet to the heart to listen. It's a danceable one but on a cool vibe.
Jmartins, the mastermind, did well by pulling up the track. Timaya was just coming up then and he killed his verse with the 'Taya Taya' vibes while the twins, Psquare finished the show.

One special thing about this song is that, it has a lot of artists on the video, the likes of Bracket, Banky W, Ice Prince and others were there.
The song was released in the year 2008.

Most interesting,
I can sing the Psaure's version. Tell me to sing for you when you see me.

Super Star by Ice prince

Yo! Who doesn't know about super star??

Mehn! I'm dancing already.

🎶🎶Hail I'm a super star
🎶🎶Hail I'm a super Star
🎶🎶Hall I'm a super star

Come on!!!🕺🕺💃💃

This song rocks always.

Ice Prince really got us dancing when this was released. Like, it's totally impossible for you to hear this song and don't shake your body... unless your body is a log of wood.
It was released in the year 2011.

Which one did you like the Most?

I don't even want to believe that I am the person you are referring to as 'junior gen-z' because.....!!!!

Meanwhile, the above songs were a hit. Ever green!

Hahaha, when I think of "throwback" I'm definitely thinking of something substantially older yet.

Nope, no pardon needed. It's awesome to be introduced to new global music. Thanks for sharing!

Damn, I find myself going back in time wearing my large jeans and white canvas, twisting my tiny waist and moving with the melody and lyrics of these songs. These are songs, not the trash we listen to these days

Nice selection.

Yay!🤸🤸
Way back, I loved Mo'hits so well to the extent that some of my friends nicknamed me 'mohits'.

Those days...so sweet

Always good remembering the throw back tunes, I do this a lot and I find that the music that you are into between ages 13 and 30 will often be stuff you will come back to forever.. Who born the maga by Wande Coal & K-switch has great energy going on, and makes you want to move.
