The vulgar lyrics we can't sing out
Saturday of last week, after I had closed from work for the day, I went to the barbing salon to cut my hair in preparation for the next day, which was a Sunday. While returning around 8:30 p.m., I stopped by at a fruit shop where I usually buy fruits, and a young girl who should be around 15 to 18 years old — actually the daughter of the shop owner who is usually there — came out to attend to me. She was singing aloud the lyrics of the newly released song by Naira Marley, and take a look at what she was singing aloud:
"Love that pssy drip"
"Make that pssy drip"
I hope you know what I replaced by the asterisk sign?? You should know.
Hey, I wanted to scold her and tell her to stop such because I sensed she did not know the meaning attached to the lyrics, but I just had to mind my business in order not to get embarrassed — also because it's possible she knows what she’s singing and she’s okay with such things.
This brings me to this question:
Have you ever liked a song that you only sing in your head due to adult or abnormal lyrics and find it abnormal to sing out loud?
I bet a lot of us have experienced this.
The song the young girl was singing is purely an adult-rated song that even the songwriter had to customize the title in order not to make it appear vulgar when people read it. The title of the song is written as "Pxy Drip." I’m sure you know what the "Pxy" stands for.
I’m a lover of music, and even when I don’t find the music lyrically interesting, I have seen the video — and it’s just full of adult content. And hey, that’s what this era trips for. The video has millions of views already, even though at some point there were controversies on how he mocked an artist he allegedly killed.
As I proceed in this content, I remember a particular day when I posted, on my WhatsApp timeline, one of the old songs I love so much, and a friend, @beeeee, replied to the post saying that her mom used to warn and scold her a lot whenever she sang the song. I laughed because actually, the lyrics are somewhat crazy. Although not adult-rated, it’s more like a curse.
The song is "Juju" by Ice Prince, and the lyrics are something like this:
"Anytime I see myself, I feel like a deity is disturbing me. Someone should pray for me..."
While the lyrics appeared laughable, it’s more like someone inviting a deity to have control of the person. Yeah, that’s how superstitious we are in Nigeria.
I love the song, and I sing it a lot whenever it’s playing, but I can’t dare to sing it in the midst of people — especially in the midst of elderly ones or church people — because they’ll start praying over my life. Lol.
Thanks for reading.

I recently learnt that this Spanish song Despacito is an adult rated song and oh my gosh, I almost looked for toothpaste and brush to wash my mouth clean. I have been singing it out without knowing it's meaning in English but after I found out, I stopped singing it but I still him it though 😁😁
That's how religious we are in the country
Yeah,
