The beat selling hit // My Darling

Have you ever come across a song and fallen in love with just the beat, without bothering about what the lyrics are saying? I bet we have people like that, and it is not just me who picks to love a track based on different aspects of it.

There is a currently high-buzzing song in Nigeria and Africa as a whole, and it is the beat that is selling and making noise everywhere.

It was last week Tuesday when I got really curious and decided to make a search to know more about the song because I had heard it play many times, especially from the radio and the lounge close to me. The beat sounds so tingling and unique. I knew it would be an easy one to search for even though I did not know a bit of the lyrics, because anytime it comes on, it is the beat that gets me shaking my head and waving off picking interest in the lyrics. Also, I knew nothing about the artist. I just entered the top music charts in Nigeria and there it was, sitting at number one, even when the famous artists who released songs recently have not been able to pull the track down from the chart. I was wowed because that was actually my first time knowing the artist, even though I once heard one of his tracks back then.

My Darling by Chella is a love song that, yes, has good lyrics and rhymes well with everything, but the beat came out as the main thing. I have not really been a person that goes deep to know the producers of songs, but with this, I had to make searches to know who made the killer and very unique beat because it is extremely out of this world and must be applauded for the creativity. It is Gstickz who did that, and it is actually my first time hearing such a name. That is not a big deal because producers do not often get recognised the way music artists (main artists) do.

I have imagined this song being performed at a World Cup event. Mehn, it fits so much into such an event. Do not blame me; I am a football lover and the sound of this song has a big world event feel to it, like theme songs for football tournaments.

Currently, the main video of the song is not out, and I hope that when it comes out, it will match with everything. I have watched many social media challenges on this song, especially the dance steps, and they are so lovely. Well, I also hope that this song does not fade off quickly, especially with the fact that the songwriter is not as famous as the big boys. Maybe he should make a remix of it with one of the big boys in the industry to keep it alive longer.
