Struggling to adapt
Today again, I agree that we can actually fail to find interest in someone’s music simply because we do not like the personality of the person or the things they do, or even how they make their music. Yes, I know that music most times does not need to be deeply understood for us to fall in love with it, as we have seen ourselves enjoy songs done in foreign languages.
This morning, while scrolling through Facebook, I came across a post by RudeBoy, one of the twins of the defunct P-Square group. I have not really picked his side of songs since the separation, even though this guy was the lead singer during the group era. I have been wanting to get along with his songs, but it just has not been working for me. So when I saw the post about his newly released song titled Beauty Modara, I thought it was a good opportunity to finally fall in love with his songs. I headed straight to YouTube to watch it, and hey, the song is dope (good), but I just found myself wishing for “this and that” with no actual point.

The song is actually nice, with good and listenable lyrics. One good thing about his kind of music, which dates back to the P-Square days, is the presence of clear and listenable lyrics, unlike some songs whose lyrics require subtitles to get along with. The song is centered on the beauty of a woman, and the title was actually supposed to be spelled as Beauty Murderer but was styled as Beauty Modara to remove the death-harsh tone, which is idiomatic by the way.
Maybe I will need to play the song over and over again to fully catch the vibe and add it to my collection, but for now, it feels just as normal as his other tracks that I listened to once and never bothered to revisit. Meanwhile, anything his other brother, Mr. P, sings, I sing and dance to it.
Thanks for reading.
