If nobody talks about you...

Hello music lovers!

It was exactly two weeks ago when I was utilizing the early morning sun for laundry. After washing, I carried the clothes to the extended part of my compound to hang on the rope. Close the rope, was a woman that owns a shop; she is somehow part of our compound because she and her children spend the entire day in the compound; they tapped electricity from our compound; they fetch water in the compound; and they were also having their conveniences in the general toilet in the compound, but they've stopped.

As I got there, I heard them (she and one of the street people) talking about how we (I and the occupants of the compound) decided to be bad to her by stopping her from fetching water. I heard them, but immediately they noticed my presence while I was hanging clothes on the rope, they tried coughing out another topic to cover up instantly, but no way; it didn't work, and I just smiled at them.

For all I know, when people talk about you, it's a clear sign that you're truly in existence.

I've been living a self-sufficient life; I seldom mingle with people around me to avoid familiarity and unnecessary issues. So I never thought I would be a topic for these people.

This brings me to this afro-beat song by MI and 2face. It's titled 'Nobody', and the popular Killa lyrics go like this:

I like how they centered the message of the song on the deepest truth of life's reality.
It's one of my most favorite tracks from MI because the track is a definition of our current era of existence.

In this life, no matter how good you are, people must talk about you, whether it's a good or bad word. Taking it to religious ground, we read how Jesus appeared as a Messiah doing all sorts of good works, but hey, a lot of people didn't like the good works; they talked him down, which resulted in his killing.

I don't know why the woman I mentioned earlier suddenly decided to see what she's currently facing as us, treating her badly.

Take a look at how it started;
We have only one source of water that all of us in the compound fetch from, including her. When the pumping machine had a fault, we met here to contribute money to be used in fixing the pumping machine. She refused, insisting she wasn't part of the compound. We didn't talk; we allowed her to have her way.
When the pumping machine was fixed, she returned to fetching water, and we didn't pursue her because there was no key to the tap. Yes, we don't lock the tap.

Last month, due to how everyone in the street was misusing the water in our compound, we decided to get a key and began to lock the tap.
It was really awful as we would spend a lot of money on fuel to pump water, and then the water would run out. And these folks could care less.

I remember meeting the woman several times and telling her to bring money for us to use in buying fuel, which she blatantly refused.
Now that we've decided to lock the tap and allow her to fetch only when she summons the courage to ask for the key, she's now seeing us as bad people. This world is not balanced at all.

I've known this aspect of life for a long time, so whenever I see people saying bad things about me, I don't feel bad because I'm somebody. That's why people are talking about me.

Let me break it down small...
Our immediate past president was someone that almost everyone in the country talked about so badly every minute. A lot of people wished him bad, but till today, he's bouncing in health and chopping excess money.😄}
