Happy birthday to one of the biggest Duos in the Music Industry | Psquare

Some years back, one of the biggest duos in the music industry worldwide came out of Nigeria, and it's unfortunate that we lost that craft and chemistry to beef. Don't get me wrong, I know we have bigger duos, but this one was extraordinary. They were not just a musical group; they were twins from birth, Peter and Paul, with their stage name as P-Square. Today is their birthday!

These guys rocked the music industry and had it in the palm of their hands in the days when the internet was not as common as it is today. All their tracks were hits — very singable and found on the lips of everyone.

I got to know that today is their birthday through one of them that I follow on social media, and I couldn't stop reminiscing about the good music they gave us when they were together as P-Square. Oh yeah, in case you're hearing about them for the first time, they’re no longer together. Beef found its way into their family and scattered everything.

In today’s #ttt I want to share some of their songs. I wanted to say “hit tracks,” but all their tracks are hits.

Do Me

This song, released many years ago, is still a banger whenever it comes on. Even people born in the last 10 years know about this song. It was released before a Christmas season, and it became the song we used to celebrate that Christmas. I can still sing it to the core, word for word.

Temptation

This one has a very unique intro and sound that makes it stand out from any other song released that year.

Something happened last year in the Football Federation of Nigeria, and a line from this song was traced as a prophecy — one we didn’t understand when it was released until it happened! A very powerful song!

Bizzy Body and the Remix

Oh my! This song was among their first set of tracks and is forever evergreen. The original song was an anthem, and the remix was an even bigger anthem.
