For a day like this // ThreeTuneTuesday

Greetings!

Today, the 25th of June, was almost declared a public holiday in my country because a well-known social musician named DAVIDO had his wedding. I must admit that I haven't seen a highly talked-about marriage event like that. The hype began very early last week, and the internet was buzzing with all sorts of announcements and video clips of what was to be done that day.

The event gathered all billionaires both in Nigeria and outside, every notable star in the music and movie industries was present, and governors of states were all available. All through today, the talk of the event took over social media to the extent that we heard very little about the ongoing Euro 2024....I didn't know about England's match

I listened to Radio FM today, and Davido's songs were played continuously. In fact, it felt more like Davido's day. So today, in the fun of #ttt, I'd like to share three old tracks among his hits.

I'm a very big fan of old songs compared to the current ones, so let me share the old and get you tickled. Lol. 😂

Skelewu:

This song, even today, has a way of pulling someone up to dance when it's played despite being released eight years ago. This song was a hit and was noted for its unique dance style. If you look closely at the video, Davido had an intact face back then, and he was making hot songs.

Overseas:

This song wasn't that popular when it was released, and I wouldn't expect most Nigerians reading this to know it except for Balikis. It's one of his tracks that I still love so much today. I can sing the chorus.

He did the song with Sina Rambo, and that was actually my first time hearing about the guy. The song was released in 2012.

Blow My Mind:

This was not quite far back, in the year 2019, and it was one of my most treasured songs of that year. He featured Chris Brown, and the combination was a blast. I remember the first time I saw the video of the song; it was on a TV in a bar when a friend and I went to charge a phone...I wasn't following up on social media, so I didn't know the video had been released.

Thanks for reading.
