Favourite Christmas songs 🎶🎄

My pick for Christmas songs goes deep into the memories and love they hold, and below are my favourite picks:

When a Child Is Born:

This song has many versions, and some of them seem to be co-owned by different artists. Well, I do not mind; I just love the song. This song carries a load of memories filled with love, family bonds, and a strong religious lifestyle.

Some years back, when I was still partially living in my hometown, my church at the time had a very lovely pastor who also had a lovely wife. I was a staff member in the church, which brought me very close to them. When it was Christmas time that year and they were rehearsing for Christmas carols and the Nine Lessons, she wanted to use this song but did not know the title. So, she came to me and began to sing the song so I could get an idea and make a Google search. Gosh! That memory is still very fresh in my mind.

I was able to get the song, and it eventually became their chosen song for the Christmas carols. You needed to see how she taught all the children how to sing that song. Their rehearsals looked so real and lovely. The mother-and-children bond was so thick, as if she had given birth to all the children (about 70 of them). Among other things, this is one of the biggest memories I have of her. Each time Christmas is approaching, this song takes me back to those good old days they spent with us in that village before they were transferred to another faraway land.

I came across this song three years ago, and it became one of my favourite Christmas songs. There are not too many memories or personal stories attached to it; I just love the composition of the song and the lyrics as well. I heard it being played on the radio on one of the nights during the Christmas season, and I immediately went on to add it to my music playlist. The song is so deep and dope!

I cannot rule out this ancient Christmas song. It is the G.O.A.T of Christmas songs. This iconic song will always remain evergreen, and it is one song that trends forever because it is remembered, revisited, and played every Christmas season. Yeah, I love the song!
