Can I have a DANCE?

avatar

Greetings, music lovers!

I woke up from my 4 hours of sweet sleep feeling energised but 'shaky' in my writing skull. I was supposed to write and submit to a prompt before 6:00 a.m., I tried to weave the words, but my brain and hands were lazy.

"What will put me at ease?" I thought and thought until an instinct knocked in: "Why don't you write about music?"

Oh yeah, today is Tuesday, and that's a good instinct at the right time for #threetunestuesday
I quickly entered YouTube, and the first artist that came to mind was Tekno—one of my favourites, even though he's not well pronounced like others.

In case you don't know what #threetunestuesday is all about, read this below:

Every Tuesday, I'm going to share three songs that I like to listen to, and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post, and I'll come and find the post and upvote it? If you could also use the #threetunetuesday tag, that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize. By @ablaze.

I decided to settle on a pattern of afrobeat that's centred on D A N C E , either by beat or lyrics.

Here we go👇

Dance by Tekno

The title is DANCE, it has a very danceable hot beat, and the video didn't fail; nice dance steps by Tekno and his team were demonstrated.

The beat intro of the song is all one needs to get up and start shaking the body. I mean, it's very hard for someone who knows this kind of song and also loves to dance to resist the urge. I'm very repulsive when it comes to dancing, so with this beat, the best I can do is nod my head to the swinging of the beat.

The song was released in 2014.

Dance by Timaya and Rudeboy

🎶Can I have a dance?🎶
This is the all-waving chorus, a question to everyone in the party.

This is the coolest of them all, a typical example of what we call a big man's dance song; one does not need to stress the body much; a lift of the legs front and back in a calculative mode is all that's needed. You can also do it in a zigzag mode; it'll lap with the beat.
The lyrics are so good, and they blend with the beat. I like how Rudeboy brought the bizzy body's vibe into it. A Killa!

The song was released in 2017.

SHAKE BODY by Skalescenter>

Where is Skales?
This is the question I asked my room when I came across this song this morning. Skales just disappeared from the music industry, which is so painful 💔.

Shake Body, as the title implies, is the song you need to jiggy your body.
My accolade goes to the brain behind the beat. It's a masterpiece.
Back in the years 2015, 2016, and 2017, this was the song for all dance competitions. Once it's played, the dancers take it to the climax to demonstrate what they've got because it has a way of pulling up that dance vibe in someone.
I've danced to this song countless times—in the bathroom. Lol

Thanks for reading.
