A drummer in a Rock band crew

Greetings people!🙌

I'm a very good lover of music, and I pay attention to all sections of a song, from the voice of the singer to the beats. I grew up in an age where they were more into live band performances during events compared to now that beats are modified, and those days, I so muchly fantasized the work of the instrumentalists; how they magically played the drums, the keyboard, and the guitar. I wished I was like any of them, but my dream didn't really come through....the way I wanted.

Even when I was wishing I was like any of them, I knew how to make noise on drum set but I never knew that I could mount on a drum set and deliver to a good standard. I only knew how to produce a slightly normal and common beat:
press the pedal with my leg in a calculative way while my hand will be using the drumstick to roll on the noisy band.

All these I've done in small gatherings at early morning church when people are not much and the drummer isn't around.

Until one day, it was an evening church with much gathering, and the drummer was not around. The choir lady mounted the microphone, and the keyboardist sat on his seat, producing a soothing sound to match up the song, but the biggest of them all was missing...the drum sound.

Then, my pastor said I should go and beat the drum. I stylishly refused because I didn't want to be mocked with the sound I would produce, considering the crowd. However, after much persuasion, I gave in, and for the very first time, I saw myself at the peak of it; it was as if I'd been a drummer from birth.

Since that day, I began to pick opportunities to play drums, to enjoy myself, and to learn too.

So, if I find myself in a rock band crew, I'm definitely going to be the drummer. That is one thing I can do even when I'm being woken up from a dream.
Although I haven't played drum for a long time, but hey, once I enter, the spirit of drumming will definitely come.
