The Festival Was Amazing!

I have been gone for a few days, and it all started last weekend.

On Friday, there was a Collective gig for the bands who couldn't get a slot at the festival, so me and my dad went down and recorded that gig.

We left the pub around 1:30, and it was a great night. Probably went to sleep around 2:30, and by 9:30 the following morning we were on the move to get the stage prepped for the Festival.

We were the closing band for Saturday, and it was brilliant.

We had a good crowd there for us, and that goes for each and every band that performed.

The music started at around 2:40 and went until 10:30

When we wrapped up, we headed back home with the equipment, and were in two minds about going to the after party, which was from 10:30 - 2

We knew we had another long day ahead of us on the Sunday, and didn't want to be too hungover for it... We went to the after's anyway, and it was fun.

I handed my bass over to a member of my drummer's other band, who did some work on it.

It sounds amazing, and the grounding issue I had is gone now. Also, one of the knobs was replaced, and it got a good clean.

The entire day was absolutely brilliant, but I didn't get much of a chance to have a wander and enjoy the festival, because I was filming the entire thing from four camera angles.

Also, Sean, a friend of mine, was going around doing some filming too with his DSLR.

Behind Michael, you can see our tent, which was essentially the production crew's base of operations.

After each act finished playing, they came over to us there and got a quick interview.

The way the interviews were conducted was really cool, because behind the band talking, you can see the stage with the next band setting up and getting ready to play.

Currently, I am working through all of the footage and editing one song which transitions into their interview, and those videos will start going out on the collective Instagram page.

Between the 3 days, we filmed 23 bands' full sets, ranging from 20 minutes to 45+, as well as the interviews.

So, that essentially means that I have my work cut out for me when it comes to editing all of this.

But when it's done, we are going to have a serious content farm going.

As I mentioned, we are going to release one song + interview for each band, then I will go back and edit the rest of each bands set and render out everyone's individual songs that they can use on their social media pages, or we can use some of them on the Collective social media pages, either way, everyone is going to have a lot to show for this weekend.
