Going To See Descendants Tomorrow
Tomorrow night is going to be so much fun. Aimee bought my dad a ticket to see Descendants for Christmas, and I bought one too.
Missed Them At Rebellion
A year and a half ago, when I was over in Blackpool playing at Rebellion, one of the bands I mentioned that I was excited to see was Descendants, but sadly, they pulled out at the last minute.
It was still a great weekend, and we got to see a bunch of other really good bands. But it was disappointing for both of us not to have seen them.
When they announced a gig over here, we were fairly excited to get a chance to see them. It's rare enough to see American punk bands playing gigs in Ireland.
But, for this gig in particular, they're joined by Circle Jerks, who will be really good too. As well as Negative Approach, who are another band I liked listening to.
I first got introduced to Negative Approach by Slayer, who did a cover of one of their songs in a covers album they did called Undisputed Attitude.
The Last Gig
The last gig me and my dad went to was Anthrax, and that was a really fun night.
Since Dave passed away, neither of us has played music, done any gigs, or really gone to any gigs. So nights like this are always a lot of fun and a good chance to listen to a few tunes, have the craic, and a few pints together.
I think both of secretly want a good kick up the arse to get back into playing again, so maybe tomorrow will be the night for something like that to happen.
Neither of us are feeling very inspired, so it's a good chance to get a bit of inspiration and drive back so we can get jamming again.

Enjoy the gig. I hope you guys can find reasons to make music again. I'm sure Dave would have wanted you to. Keep his memory alive!
Thanks, mate, it should be fun. We've discussed it, and both agree that he'd want us to carry on. It's just finding the drive again. I hope it comes back soon
