My experience today at the studio
my experience today at the studio was one of a kind so before getting there there was this agreement we made which is we'll be going as a group at exact 9am. so the next day which we were having a session i stood at the bus stop that was agreed on waiting for a long period of time still no one showing up. after an hour i took a ride to a place called sabo in kaduna Nigeria meanwhile our destination was kakuri recording session taking place at KDB multimedia immediately i arrived sabo i recieved a phone call guess what..! it was the MD(music director) himself🤔 saying that they were at the bus stop waiting for some few seconds i was amazed which means immidately i left they arrived well i was a bit pissed off and i told the MD that i have been there waiting since about 8:45am until it was 9:50am so i gave them my location where i was after i made some cash withdrawal at the bank suddenly wasn't too long when they arrived at the exact location then the car kicked and we left for kakuri
wowwww now we have arrived kakuri (KDB multimedia) successfully and we're now in the studio room but it was quiet uncertain because we weren't complete this became tougher 🤨 than I expected. we became so weary waiting for the other persons to arrive so when we couldn't wait any longer the session began note we record only gospel music 🎤 so the first lead vocalist started but he couldn't get up to 10% of what the producer wanted i guess 🤔 that's because a live performance and a studio session are quite different suddenly another person arrived by then i was so hungry wait I didn't even eat since last night and its now 12pm so we continued recording but still having a bad vocals with the two lead vocalist at this point we can't just suddenly leave🤔 no ways as time went on my hunger intensified but there's nothing i could have possibly done. right now the MD asked saying i lead the last recorded song yet to be released my response was yeah and wasn't prepared vocally to take this song though all he wanted was different persons to have a take on every written songs we'll be recording so it can go round but at this point he had no option rather than i taking the song but i had no strength for that soo i started singing my goodness i was so strained i personally couldn't perform i was now singing in nasal wha...t which was totally wrong I couldn't believe i sing what i sang so it was an off for me my goodness lol also at this point he tried the supposed vocalists one more time but still not getting it right lolllll it became so funny that he had to take the part.
later on we had to make a call for a second female vocalist to come over huhhh it took about an hour before her arrival so we proceeded and it was awesome now it was evening it got to this point of the song that it was hyped that's by the bridge part of the song my goodness just when i was about recording the producer was already tired and asked us to come back some other day (next week) this was my happiest moment's i didn't also want to attend rehearsal but the MD was so persistent about it so we arrived the church by then i couldn't play the piano neither could i even sing so i relaxed until rehearsal was now over it was quite late you could imagine what the time was huuuuuuuuu I'm having this feeling so this is how sacrifices are made my gosh it was 8pm who could have thought i can ever stay hungry all day i guess the rest was historyyyyy.
