We have it easy where I am. Several different stores are close and safe and well stocked and have reasonable prices. There is very little stress in food shopping here. Just another thing to be thankful for this coming Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) and every day. Gratitude is the attitude.

We started buying a lot of our food direct from a ranch a few hours away. It’s a bit extra but it’s nice being able to shake the ranchers hand and know what we are getting. Eggs & beef at least we got covered but still use grocery for the produce and little things. It’s getting quite weird how manipulated the processed food is at the grocery store these days so we just do what we can.

I would say that your system of buying some core food items from a local ranch is ideal. Agreed, too much processed food for sale and in most people's diets.
