My Actifit Report Card: July 26 2025 - All Ozzy All The Time
I was just out getting some things from a local supermarket and was listening to Ozzy's Boneyard on the way there and back. This is one of 4 hard and heavy rock stations in a row on Sirius Radio. Usually I'll switch between them looking for the most aggressive tunes. But I keep it on Ozzy's Boneyard lately because they are all Ozzy all the time lately. I'm a big Black Sabbath fan so it suits me fine.
On this short food run I heard a short classic Sabbath tune called St. Vitus Dance. I found it on YouTube and they made a Sabbath playlist for me! Next up is Supernaut. There are about 20 or more Heavy Metal Black Sabbath songs in this list and I'll add the entire URL here and see if PeakD embeds the whole thing.

Black Sabbath Covers
Did you know that there is a German Version of Paranoid by Black Sabbath? It is the same music but with different lyrics which are also in German. This version is called Der Hund von Baskerville and it is by a couple named Cindy und Bert. Here they are singing it (lip syncing actually) on German TV.
You are either gonna love it or hate it. I think it's pretty cool and fun!

And there is a punk version of Paranoid done by The Dickies. It's a little faster, and the vocals are a little more punk. They fit most of the verses in, in just over 2 minutes. Some of the lyrics are mangled but still, lots of fun!
The Dickies also made a cool version of Gigantor which was a very early anime about a big flying robot!

I think I'll mention our own excellent musician @harbiter in here, since he also wrote about Ozzy recently, as well as @thecrazygm who likes aggressive music and mentioned that he liked Liquid Metal and Octane on Sirius radio recently. Check out those guys here on HIVE!
My Activity
for this weekend day was pretty much just taking my time in the air conditioned supermarket since it was in the upper 80s at night when I would have walked. So I walked in sweet cool AC instead! I just managed 6K which is OK I guess. Tomorrow might be a pool day!
Have a Happy Sunday Everyone!!! ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

It says the first video is not available 🫤
I like the third one the most but the second is fairly good too
Thanks for letting me know! Here's another video of the same song.

This one works!
Thanks for the shout out!
That German cover is pretty hard to listen, especially because the lyrics feel out of tempo for the most part, not really nailed, but boy, those organ solos are fire!
You're welcome, you Rock! \m/
I remember the first time I heard Der Hund, definitely a What The F moment. But I dig organs in all types of music so I liked that aspect of the song.
I read somewhere that Cindy and Burt were generally more like a Carpenters sounding group, or Captain and Tennille - really soft pop music. So I give them credit for venturing out of their comfort zone!
I know the Dickies version quite well, My wife was a hardcore punk in the late 70s early 80s and we still listen to quite a bit of it around the house.
I had The Dickies first album once, maybe it's still around somewhere. But you can find everything on YouTube and I found their second album last night, some more good stuff!
I like punk from the early years, especially The Ramones and Dead Boys. I like early hardcore too, such as Minor Threat and their precursor band Teen Idles. Glad to hear you're still into this early stuff too!
I'm guessing Ozzy’s Boneyard is the perfect spot for true Sabbath fans. Haven't heard of St. Vitus Dance if not for this post. There being a German version pretty much shows how Sabbath’s influence really crosses borders. Keep the metal love alive, that's a genre I respect
I am also one of those who like old songs and I will definitely listen to this. I like a lot of songs that are old classical.
Ozzy is such a legend. I also remember when he and his family used to have MTV show, and that Kelly Osbourne released her own version of Papa Don't Preach.
