My Actifit Report Card: November 8 2024 - Ride Captain Ride
Here's an oldie I have not heard in a while but YouTube recommended it so I listened and watched. The song is Ride Captain Ride and it was always popular on oldies radio stations. I remember a guy I once knew who said he saw them play in Florida when he was a kid. So this one goes way back to 1970. The band is Blues Image and I don't think they ever had another record.
After reading the video Description, it filled in some things for me. The band started in Tampa but moved to Miami which is where my friend saw them. Apparently they had 3 albums. I bet they are on YouTube!
Another thing I just remembered about this song is that there is a pretty cool guitar solo at the end of it. That guitar piece is missing in the video above. So here is the record version of the song which of course was on YouTube. One thing I noticed right away was the cool stereo mix with lots of separation between instruments. I'll have to listen to it with headphones on, when I get a chance.
That awesome guitar break starts at about 3:15 and goes on for about 25 seconds of goodness. Check it out!
My Activity
today was moving around to some household chores that needed to get done. Then I had some family time and chatted with some family members about the election. I'm not in the camp of those who think Trump is great nor do I think he is terrible. He is not God and he is not the Devil. He is a human like the rest of us with some good traits and some less good ones. I like some of his policy proposals and don't think others are very good. But we'll ride it out and see what happens. Ride Captain Ride!
Or Ride Crypto Ride! We see that it is riding a rocket to the moon, and hopefully HIVE goes along for the ride. Bitcoin has already blasted off. Let's Freakin' Gooooooo!
Anyway, at night I did take my walk and saw a nearly half full moon briefly as I walked because it was low in the sky and mostly behind things. Looking forward to the next full moon. It shines on Trump supporters and Trump haters. We all live on one little ball traveling through space and time. Let's help each other to enjoy the ride and have a great trip!
