My Actifit Report Card: July 19 2024 - Sungaze, New Song
I follow Sungaze on Bandcamp and YouTube. It is a dreampop shoegaze neopsychedelic indy band centered around a husband and wife. Ivory Snow is the singer and she also plays keyboard. Ian Hilvert plays guitar. They also have a bass player and drummer.
I have mentioned them here before.
Yesterday I heard this new song Freer Than I Could Be. I liked it right away although its very slow, as they intended it to be. This song is slowcore which is the opposite of nightcore. I played it at a faster speed and liked it too. Then I played it at its normal speed and didn't like it as much. Today I listened again at normal speed and I like it again. I guess it depends on one's mood when it comes to what music they currently want to hear.

My Activity
today was minimal. It rained again most of the day. When it stopped for a bit, I got out to get some groceries. That was basically my activity today. Tomorrow is water volleyball if it's not raining too hard, and if there is no lightning. So I didn't exert myself much. The night time walk was not possible due to the intense rain. It probably won't happen tomorrow either since I'll be spent from wvb if we do play!

It's interesting how a song like "Freer Than I Could Be" can grow on you and change based on your mood and the speed at which it's played. Music truly is a dynamic experience. I hope the weather clears up for your water volleyball tomorrow! Enjoy your weekend!
