My Actifit Report Card: April 15 2024 - Inspiral Carpets

I remember Inspiral Carpets from previous musical exploration on YouTube. I had found some of this 80s Britpop band's popular stuff and thought it was pretty good but not super great. Now I have found a tune they did later in their career. The description says 2014. The song is Let You Down.

This rocker starts with pounding drums and guitar and organ. Pretty groovy throwback to a 60s sound! In the middle we have a nice flow from an older gentleman named John Cooper Clark. It's pretty witty and clever but also a bit out of place.

Then we kind of head back to the previous groove and I notice the similarity to The Doors. It finishes strong after nearly 5 minutes. Can you dig it? Yes I can!

Don't tell me I'm your man!

My Activity

for this Monday was some errands like grocery shopping and laundry which both required some walking about.

In the eve I performed the quotidian day ending stroll around the neighborhood. It was warm! About 72. Bright half moon. Medium length journey. Felt Good Man!
