My Actifit Report Card: December 20 2022 - Vegas Hound Dog
Happy Three Tune Tuesday! I was out driving today and this jam came on the local Current Hits radio station. It's a cool song about a Hound Dog, by a Doja Cat!
The song was originally recorded by Big Mama Thorton in 1952. It sounds like Doja Cat sampled Thornton in her version - "You Ain't Nothin' But A..."
A few years later in 1956 Elvis Presley covered Hound Dog and it became an early rock song classic. He changed some of the lyrics and changed the beat. But whichever version you prefer, you'll have to admit this is a groovy classic!
MY ACTIVITY today started with a bike ride. Then I lifted some weights out in the garage. Later I took a walk and added in some running and stair climbing. I'm trying to go into the holidays as healthy as possible - exercising, eating healthy, sleeping about 8 hours. It's going to be a very busy few weeks ahead!

It's a cool song about a Hound Dog, by a Doja Cat! - funny how a cat is singing about a dog , Lol . Doja cat is actually a fantastic songstress! I like the way she handles the pop genre effortlessly. I’m sure you must have come across this song of hers “say so “ , it is such a classic tune !
Nice song. Doja Cat is popular nowadays, and the song's music video reminds me of Janet Jackson's "Got Till It's Gone" video.

Quality stuff, I must admit that the only version of Hound Dog I had heard before today was the Elvis one. I love that song, but I must admit that Doja Cat and Big Mama Thornton blew me away, especially Big Mama Thornton, wow, such energy!! Amazing..
