The songs and musicians that whet my appetite.

The question of "which is more important" is always lost on me when it's about songs that fall into different categories. Its like making a comparison between hip-hop music and Blues. Or a comparison between Afritunes and K-pop.

I believe that each category of music has its period and time even though I'm more fond of some categories of music than others. I still have moments when I feel like listening to songs that I rarely pay attention to in normal situations. So, just like most people, I basically have a complex taste for music depending on a lot of complex situations.

Here's a snippet...

You know about the work of Mozart and Beethoven in the music industry, right?

Their sort of songs are called classical music and those are like a guilty pleasure to me especially when they are used as soundtracks in a dark-themed psychologically thrilling crime TV show. That's just how I love them and I have a folder filled with songs like that.

It's about time I quickly introduced you to some of the music and musicians I listen to;

The list sorta goes wild in this regard although I'm not a very loyal fan of most modern musicians. When I listen to songs that I fancy, I give the artist his/her flowers for a job well done. And, I'm always open to saying "nah" to the ones that just don't whet my appetite.

I'd have people like ABBA, Eminem, Sia, Bella Poarch, Imagine Dragons, Lindsey Stirling, and a few others in my list who I vibe to most of the songs they put up.

Recency Bias... I'm giving a special shout-out to Lindsey Stirling by attaching one of her songs to this post. She's one of the artists I recently came across and I've had so much fun checking out her songs. What she does with her violin is electrifying and her music video ideas are always filled with mind-blowing creativity.

I also listen to a very shrunken list of Afritunes and I listen to those once in a blue moon. Just last night, I decided to check out my Afritunes playlist and someone continuously lamented "I didn't know you have these sorta songs" in your playlist. Haha. I wasn't surprised about that reaction though. I mostly play my songs through my earphones.

I also have a good list of really old songs that I enjoyed during my childhood, thanks to my Dad's love for music. As a kid, I don't think I really fancied listening to those. However, I grew up digging into my childhood memories to fetch those songs and add them to my old-school music playlist.

Being a music lover adds an interesting adventure to my life. It's a beautiful feeling.

I am not gonna lie, among your list, Eminem is the only one I have listened to his songs and I love... Haven't really listened to the rest, I don't think I know them either

I have somethings I wanted to say about all you have written but then after listening and watching the video you attached to this post I became completely blown away and all I could hear is the sound of her violin. She is more than just violinist, she tells a story with a sound "Not good enough" is like watching what you could be flash through your eyes and then you realise it is not that you are not good enough, it is just that you are not good enough yet, which means there is always room for improvement.

Though I still don't get it, what exactly is the title of this song, it is weird right? Music is more than just lyrics, a sound could do the trick.

Bro... I'm really impressed by how you managed to figure out so much about the message embedded in this song even when you didn't know the lady's backstory. Haha. This is an impressive analysis of the song and it's on point.

This particular song is titled "Eyes of the Untold" by Lindsey Stirling and the music video idea is a mixture of the video concepts from 4 other songs that punctuated her growth in the music industry.

She's an amazing storyteller and she does it nicely with her violin.

Now I'm more impressed, I need to go on a hunt for her music. Her sense of creativity is beyond the ordinary.

Beethoven and Mozart are lovely musicians and I love their productions too. It just pains me that when I try to do a reproduction of their music it's so difficult because of the too many intricacies.

I can already imagine how tough it would be to reproduce their songs. Mozart and Beethoven have a reputation that's backed up by genuine hardwork and it's not a surprise that their song still hits this spot till this moment.

I don't know what to say.... But then we are not good enough yet, doesn't mean we will never be if we put in the work.

That's true. The song is inspired by her true life experience in the music industry and she has come to a point where her competence is no longer in question.
