The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.

I remember watching a panel interview where Tom Holland (the guy who plays Spiderman in MCU) roasted Sam Wilson (the guy that plays Falcon in MCU) because Falcon doesn't have a movie or TV show of its own. Haha.

I don't know the exact year the interview was held. However, a lot has really changed since then and now. Falcon who's always in team Captain America finally got a TV show of his own a few years ago. That show is what we will be reviewing in this post;

Episodes: 6

Release Date: 2021

On one hand, it was really hard to think about a show where we have the Captain America crew with Steve Rogers (Captain America) in it. Haha. Do recall that Captain America retired after the defeat of Thanos in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). He handed over his shield to Falcon and this show is an interesting look at how Falcon takes up a bigger responsibility than what he had to deal with as Captain's sidekick. Haha.

Will he accept the shield and the responsibility that comes with it? Will be be able to carry that responsibility? Would America want a black dude as the person handling the remarkable shield? The writer explored a lot of directions with where this will go in the absence of Captain America. I was also very curious about it and I was quite surprised with how it unfolded.

At the initial stage, falcon handed over the shield to the American government. He didn't feel like he was worthy of taking on the badge of honor highlighted which the shield signifies. I wasn't even mad at his decision. In some ways, I understood his choice. However, the shield got transferred to a soldier who he deemed as someone that doesn't deserve it. From there on, the plot thickened.

Check out the above trailer. These MCU folks have perfected the act of serving us juicy and spicy trailers. They know how to perspective the fuck out of things and some elements of this trailer are a perfect misdirection which is also a perfect build-up for the twists and turns in the show. It's a cinematic brilliance from them.

One of the most interesting things about this show is the highlight of the relationship between Falcon and Bucky (Winter Soldier). You know Bucky's story after he was injected with the supersoldier syrup, right? He got brainwashed, became a ruthless assassin, and caused a lot of damage to really good people. He was given a second chance by Captain and started his redemption arc.

His relationship with Falcon in this show is a mixture of everything you want to see from two guys who are working together. For the record, they are so different in so many ways and disagree on a lot of things. Haha. Now, try to imagine how their dialogue would be.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
