VIBES WEB3 MUSIC COMPETITION WEEK 40 || Hallelujah by Lucy Thomas || covered song by Kathyohara (REVIEW)
Hello, my beautiful friends of the Vibes community!
I’m excited to share my entry for this week’s music competition. For my submission, I chose to do a cover of Hallelujah by Lucy Thomas. This song holds a very special place in my heart, as it was my grandma's absolute favorite. She would always ask me to sing it to her, and it became a cherished ritual during our time together.
While there are many versions of Hallelujah, the one by Lucy Thomas stands out as my personal favorite. It’s the version I would sing to my grandma when she was in the long-term care facility. The emotion and beauty in Lucy’s rendition resonate deeply with me, and I wanted to honor that connection through my cover.
This song’s powerful lyrics and haunting melody have always been a source of comfort and reflection for me. I felt it was the perfect piece to share for this week’s competition, not only because of the personal meaning it carries but also because it allows me to pay tribute to my grandma in a way that feels deeply personal and meaningful.
Music has a magical way of connecting us to memories and emotions, and through this cover, I hope to convey the love and connection I felt while singing this song for my grandma. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Thank you for taking the time to listen, and I’m looking forward to hearing everyone else's amazing submissions this week!
