Hello my dear friends of the community and maybe some explorer of @hiveopenmic.

Esta es una ocasión muy especial porque estamos finalizando el año. Este es mi último post del año, un año que para mí fue de nuevos comienzos y eso incluye esta brillante comunidad. Me alegró infinitamente haber regresado a este espacio de música libre pero llena de paz y amor.



This is a very special occasion because we are closing the year. This is my last post of the year, a year full of new beginnings for me, and that includes this brilliant community. I was infinitely happy to return to this space of free music filled with peace and love.

Esta semana el tema es “Epifanía” y no voy a negarles que incluso había olvidado el significado de esta palabra, así que tuve que volver a buscarlo y encontrar música que me hiciera vibrar con el tema que nos acompaña.



This week’s theme is “Epiphany”, and I must confess that I had even forgotten the meaning of this word, so I searched again and looked for music that could make me vibrate with the spirit of this week.

Así llegué al Benedictus, un texto quizá litúrgico que muchos conocemos y que nace de la epifanía vivida por tantos al ver a Jesús llegar.



That’s how I arrived at Benedictus, a liturgical text that many of us know, born from the epiphany experienced by so many when seeing Jesus arrive.

Hace mucho tiempo que estoy enamorada de esta pieza y recordé que la descubrí en un vídeo de un concierto de mi iglesia en África. Siendo honesta, sigue siendo mi versión favorita. Se las comparto aquí para que puedan escucharla. Para esta ocasión hice una adaptación a 4 violines.



I have been in love with this piece for a long time, and I remembered that I first discovered it in a video of a concert at my church in Africa. Honestly, it remains my favorite version. I share it here so you can listen. For this occasion, I made an adaptation for 4 violins.

Creo que la música en sí misma es la verdadera epifanía, y aún más al tener este texto que refleja el asombro, la maravilla y la revelación en sí misma.



I believe that music itself is the true epiphany, especially with this text that embodies wonder, amazement, and revelation.
