One of my friends started (self-)studying piano this year too and he's pretty good. He's using the Flowkey App. I can't wait to have a piano available again so I can start studying it again. The Simply Piano app looked very fun too. So I'll totally give that a go!
This is great! I think everyone should learn to play an instrument or sing. I returned to the piano but as I had lessons as a child, now I am learning to play by ear without music. That started several years ago. My goal is to play while I sing! I hope you keep posting about it.

no , I just listen to music. learning not for me... Tried in my twenties to learn guitar but failed...
