Sounds interesting, I wonder if this is similar to a service called last.fm and kept track of who you listen to and compared with others. There were plugins for most media players like VLC, Windows Media and itunes.

yes that was part of the inspiration, the other was timed comments from sound cloud (now discontinued) however I thought it'd be a nice fit for shortform content/snaps as well as offchain reactions to songs others can see!
for now just web based, hence the extension, but could become its own app eventually to work on other apps on your machine such as Spotify app or other offline music/movie players.
After making the website itself scrobblable I think next up we should include 3spk
