Music has this incredible way of speaking to us, especially when life gets tough. For me, it's those fast, uplifting beats that really do the trick. You know, the kind of songs that make you want to get up and dance, or at the very least, nod your head to the rhythm.
There's something about them that makes me feel so much alive. It’s like no matter what mood I’m in, those songs always pull me out and fill me with this energy and hope. Every time I catch myself dancing or even just singing along, I feel lighter, happier, and more connected to myself.
Music really does have a way of lifting you up when you're feeling down. It’s like the perfect companion on tough days, transforming stress into joy, and sadness into something more manageable.
Yesterday i was working on my technical report for the commencement of my I.T programme on a laptop and what i noticed was, having music in the background helped me stay focused and keep going. Without it, I’d probably get tired or lose interest halfway through. But with music, I feel like I can push through anything—it just makes everything a bit easier.
What’s really special about music is how it often reflects what we’re feeling inside. Musicians pour their hearts into their songs, and sometimes, that’s exactly what we need to hear. It’s like they’re putting words to emotions we haven’t even figured out how to express yet. Take heartbreak, for example—listening to something like “Heartbreak Anniversary” by Giveon can really hit home when you’re going through a rough time after facing heartbreak. You get lost in the melody, and suddenly, it feels like someone else understands your pain. By the end of the song, you’re not necessarily healed, but you do feel a little more like yourself.
