Ringtones? No Thanks, I’ll Stick to Default.

I have never really paid much attention to my ringtone. In fact, I don’t think I have ever tried changing it from what it has always been. I am just one of those people who stick with whatever comes with the phone. Not because I don’t know how to change it, but because I’ve never seen the need to. It’s just one of those things I don’t consider important enough to bother with.

I have two SIM cards, and both of them have different ringtones, but they’re still from the default sounds. One has that classic, subtle ringing tone that comes with most Samsung Galaxy phones, and the other has a slightly different one, but again, nothing fancy. I don’t even remember choosing them—pretty sure they were just set automatically when I got the phone. And honestly, I don’t mind at all. As long as I can hear my phone ringing when someone calls, that’s all that matters.

For some people, a ringtone is a big deal. They carefully pick a song they love or a unique sound that represents their personality. I get it—having your favorite song as a ringtone can make answering calls more fun. Some people even set different ringtones for different contacts, so they know who’s calling just by the sound. That actually seems useful, but I’ve never felt the need to try it myself.

Speaking of embarrassing ringtone moments, I remember back in secondary school during an exam, one guy had a phone on him. But the guy was so careless that he forgot to put it on silent. In the middle of the exam, a call just came through, and his phone started ringing.

It was actually a funny and scary moment but then he was so lucky because the ringtone wasn’t too loud, and the invigilators didn’t notice on time. We in the class just had to distract them a bit just to cover for him, and that’s how he escaped and then the phone stopped ringing. Honestly,if they had caught him, it would’ve been a different story entirely!

Asides from that, i have also been in places where someone’s phone rang, and their ringtone was so catchy that i found myself vibing to the music. That’s actually kind of cool. But as much as I like music, I just don’t see myself making a song my ringtone. I’d probably get tired of it too quickly, and then I’d have to go through the stress of changing it again.

At the end of the day, I guess I’m just a simple person when it comes to stuff like this. As long as my phone rings when it should, I’m good. I don’t need any fresh tune or classic jams. Maybe one day I’ll feel like experimenting with ringtones, but honestly, I doubt it.

So, will I ever change my ringtone? Probably not. I like it the way it is—simple, functional, and drama-free.
